Needed some bending and drilling to clear my spare tire. Grounding was an issue. It works for the price. I have taken my CB off my Jeep however, took to much tuning and messing around with. Not worth my time. However nice mount, not sure what kinda steel though. Was able to drill with a dull bit and took me only 20 seconds to get through it.     • Good solid mount
Good, easy install. I placed it in front of my tire mount to keep from pull the whole tire mount off to install. The only issue I have with it is the antenna is pressed against the spare tire causing it to be at an angle. I used washers on the tire bolts to push the spare tire out a little further but not by much. I will eventually move it to the back side of the tire mount. I feel that my antenna may break under pressure if I leave it there. ... show more

    • Doesn’t really fit exact
The plastic on the spare tire mount makes it a little angled and doesn’t sit flush. Need spacers which they don’t provide to make it fit better. Also the antenna/flag pole hits the spare tire. Might put it on the other side of the spare tire mount. Not sure. Kinda wonky.

Heavy built, quality part, that mounted exactly how it should.... except I couldn't use it because my aftermarket tire carrier would hit squarely on the mount. Hated to give it away.

Simple and self explanatory install. I had no grounding issues with the antenna either. I did sorta slightly scrape away some of the powder coating just in case, but really put no effort into how much I scraped off, so I'm not sure it even helped. Either way, I highly recommend this part!

Only issue was that the coating caused the hole to be a bit small to fit the antenna. Drilled it out quick, repainted and it works great!
