  • Fantastic, but don’t make my mistake.
Style: 1.32GPM,Black
Great, functional product perfect for camping or off grid cabins, etc. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN TIGHTENING THE FITTING FOR HOT WATER OUT. You need to be extremely careful and delicate or you can break the unit. It’s meant for camping and garden hoses. If you are doing a permanent installation with something like pex and brass fittings, be very careful and gentle. MAKE SURE AND DRAIN THE UNIT DURING FREEZING TEMPS. This is super easy and takes five seconds. I’ve lost 3 of these to freeze damage. For any kind of permanent installation, YOU NEED A PRESSURE RELEASE VALVE IN THE HOT WATER LINE OUT JUST A FEW INCHES OUTSIDE OF THE UNIT. This will keep your pipe from exploding in the event that the heat exchanger gets clogged from degree in the water supply and hot water pressure builds up inside the unit. If you have a shower that automatically mixes hot and cold water (one handle) it’s possible that you may only get warm water if your water source is very cold. The best kind of faucets (sink and shower) for this water heater is the kind that has a separate handle for hot and cold. This allows you to get only hot water. Some faucets that have only one handle will mix hot and cold water even when the handle is turned all the way to hot. This is only a concern when temps are below 40 degrees. ... show more

  • It's great for washing your dog outside at night
Style: 1.32GPM,White
I bought this specifically to give my dog a bath in the middle of the night/ early morning. She's a senior dog so she has accidents pretty regularly. Giving her a bath when it's 40 to 50 degrees outside with water that's even colder felt cruel at her age. I looked into a bunch of camping showers and landed on this one after tons of youtube reviews. It works great for the heat that I need. Granted, it's not going to be as hot as an indoor shower but our bathrooms are upstairs and it'd be too much to constantly carry an 80 lb dog up a flight of stairs at 3 to 4 times a day. Water flow is great and the amount of heat is decent for an outside shower. It gets to about 80 to 90 degrees which is perfect. It doesn't make any loud noises when starting or in use. Side note, the top gets insanely hot because it's the exhaust vent. Be VERY mindful on where you mount it because it can honestly catch something on fire or cause severe burns. I used a tiny bit of plumbers tape on the threading because the gaskets alone were not enough. ... show more

  • Great product and responsive customer service
Style: 1.32GPM,White
Bought the Camplux Tankless Water Heater for my off-grid cabin. Love it! Product works exactly as described. Within minutes I had hot water on-demand. Set up was a breeze and no leaks. The shower head connection has an easy on-off switch which is super convenient. After several uses I did experience a minor rupture in the water line due to an abundance of pressure. Customer service was highly responsive and sent me a replacement promptly. If you are in the market for a tankless water heater to take camping or use for an off-grid property, stop your search. This is the one you want. ... show more

  • Do your research before buying, but their customer service was excellent
Style: 1.32GPM,White
Initially, this outdoor shower unit was amazing. I used this product in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California this past fall and was extremely grateful, living off grid as I do, to have the ability to take a hot shower after a long day of working on my property. However, after about a month into using it, I noticed a bulge in the shower hose developing. The bulge grew bigger and bigger, until the hose burst. Not a big deal. I replaced the hose with another sturdier hose and thought nothing of it. Then, last week, with the first freeze, the handle burst down its seam. Again, no big deal, as I had a spare. So I replaced it and figured I was good... till I went to fire it up later that day and water started spewing out everywhere, starting from inside the unit. The water extinguished the propane and shut the unit down. I took the unit apart and assessed the damage. A brass water manifold inside had split in two places. I tried liquid weld, but that only lasted for one more shower, before the manifold cracked again. I ordered another brand and hopefully it lasts longer than this one did. Personal edit update: This company actually reached out to me, apologized for the inconvenience and sent me another unit, which in this day and age, frankly, suprised the hell out of me. The replacement machine seems to be working (though the shower handle did split down the middle on the third use which was frustrating, but fixable using another handle that i happened to have.) but time and use will tell. So a bump up and extra star added for excellent customer service. Thank you 1/6/25: Outside of the water nozzle issue previously mentioned, this unit has continued to do well and I am very pleased with its utility and ease of function. ... show more

  • After purchasing 4 units they won't help fix a bad one.
Style: 1.32GPM,White
I have used the 5L model on multiple camper van builds as well as the 10L model in our backyard. In general the product is fine. After a few years the first unit at home finally stopped igniting and I decided to order a new one. It immediately was putting out scalding hot water even on the lowest setting. I just assumed this was my fault so I did not contact customer service right away, my fault. However, if any of MY repeat customers bought a product from me I would make sure they were taken care of. Upon sending in a request for help these guys have put me in an endless email loop asking some ridiculous questions to buy time and brush me off. I clearly have experience with these heaters and overall they have worked very well. Even with freezing cold water coming into this newest heater it puts out water so hot you have to stand back and wait for it to cool down. They keep asking me if I tried a separate water source!? It's attached to the house cold water supply. This is not on a hot day when heat accumulates in the attic. Even after a couple minute shower, if I turn the unit off and then back on it goes through the same cycle of scalding hot water and slowly cools off. Regardless, this review is more of the way they handle a good customer than the product itself. My advice is if anything goes wrong make sure you complain not a day too late or they will treat you like a liar. ... show more
