This has several pockets for storing various items while on the trail, and that is wonderful. The zippers feel very quality, and overall I really like this. However, it’s very expensive for what it is, and it doesn’t come with a cover for the mouth guard, I had to purchase that separately which makes this even more expensive. ... show more

Camelback Mule 3L Hydration Pack: A quick look at this mid sized pack shows that thought was put into the design and manufacturing. It is the small details that show the quality. 1) The pictured clips only insert one way so the strap does not twist or bind. 2) Each strap has a catch on the end so the strap does not pull through the buckle. 3) There are 6 zippers on the pack. One is color coded blue indicating the pouch for the bladder. So you know not to open that when accessing the other 2 storage areas which has dual zippers. Again, letting you know it is a storage area. The final single zipper is a pocket on the top that is lined with soft fabric for delicate items; cell or sunglasses etc. 4) Padding on the back to hold it off the spine and webbing to allow air flow. Very nice touch. 5) Chest strap has magnetic locking catch that doubles as magnetic for straw. The entire strap is adjustable by sliding up and down for individual comfort. Clean simple design. Negative; I think that with such a nice pack the shoulder straps could be more hardy. Time will tell if this is the weak spot. ... show more

I got this pack for mountain biking. Great hydration pack but the fill-up is problematic. Bladder compartment doesn't unzip all the way so its awkward to refill unless you remove the bladder completely. My other packs are easy to access and can simply fill at the fridge. This one is a bit of an ordeal. Also the cap holder doesn't stay on the cap. It comes off constantly. Its frustrating. The pack itself is great for a few hrs ride. Plenty of water and space for tools, spares and snacks. Shoulder straps are a little small for me tho. Can be a little uncomfortable at times when the pack is at full weight. Doesn't get too hot while wearing so the ventilation is good. Great pack for the $, would recommend. ... show more

I just did my first mountain bike ride with the new MULE. I had 1.5 liters of water, my phone and car keys in the phone pocket, all of my tools, a spare tube, a pump, a rain jacket and a huge folding saw.
