My 10 year old used this on a hike and it was great. Easy for him to drink and stay hydrated. Dont buy this if you are expecting storage space in the zipped up section whe you have the canteen full. Barely squeezed a PB sandwich in there.

At first I thought it leaked terribly but after figuring out just how tight the kid needs to be I’ve since found that it works quite well. Still takes some getting used to ad the water sloshed around and the “straw” can flap about as you run.

I bought this for my long runs. First time owning a camel back. Pros: Comfortable to wear Holds a lot of water Cons: Water gets warm (side note: I am using this in 90-100 degree heat for 1-2 hrs at a time) Sunscreen gets stuck in straps Body odor accumulates in the material from all the sweat (I have washed in the washer and it is like new after) The first couple sips are warm because it’s in the tube that is exposed the sunlight. ... show more

This came in handy as I worked outside and it was a bit inconvenient to carry around a water bottle while doing my job. It kept the water cold for good amount of time even as I was in direct sunlight. The pack itself is a bit smaller than I thought it would be and getting the reservoir out of the pack is a little finicky, but those are minor things in my opinion.
