  • Pretty Reliable and Useful For Long Runs.
Color: Graphite/Sulphur Spring
I bought this for runs longer than 8+ miles. I’m 6’1 215 lbs and although I was skeptical it actually fit pretty well. The bladder can leak a little because the lid and bladder don’t seal too well. It only leaked when I apply a medium amount of pressure to bladder. It is relatively an inexpensive choice if you didn’t want to spend a lot on a running vest. I even put some running bottles in the front pocket and it fit nicely. The front zipper really can’t fit a cell phone but it fit a credit card or gel pack nicely. I didn’t give it a 5 star because the insulation is nonexistent and the ice and water warmed up quickly early in the run. Otherwise, it was a useful and functional running vest. ... show more

  • Just what I needed
Color: Graphite/Sulphur Spring
Needed something for running and came across this. I can carry my water and my keys/phone/wallet all in this lightweight hydration vest. The capacity of the bladder 1.5L is more than enough. It dries really fast also. I wash it in the sink and hang dry it.

  • Not at all fit for purpose
Color: Graphite/Sulphur Spring
This is my 12th CamelBak product over the last 22 years and it is the worst by a long shot. I was going to say that the single positive attribute is that it's lightweight, but since everything was obviously sacrificed in order to achieve this single feature that's just pure design stupidity. Anyone who has ever run trails or run long enough to need to carry over a liter of hydration on you knows that a few extra grams here or there is not worth sacrificing basic functionality for. The "vest" is more like a "shawl" that sits on your shoulders, and never sits right no matter how much adjusting you do. The straps under your armpits and behind your back are annoyingly positioned and so small that it is a hassle to adjust them while moving. What's worse is the two straps that go across your midsection and chest are not on rails, unlike any other CamelBak product I've ever used, so you cannot adjust their position without taking the whole vest off because their extremely small clips need to be unhooked and re-attached without tension on them apparently. Regardless of how much you tighten or adjust the straps - even to the point where it starts restricting your movement (and breathing) - the vest still moves around and leads to rubbing/chafing. The tube trap is not on a rail either, so its position is stuck at one inconvenient height for the extra short tube. The tube from the bladder is so short that it cannot be used with any other CamelBak product because of this. The bladder does NOT have a baffle inside, even though the generic product feature card for the Crux Reservoir attached to it says it does (a little bit of false advertising there from CamelBak). This means a monumental leap backwards to many years ago when they started including an internal baffle, and now the liquid sloshes around the bladder from the very start of the run until the very end. The bladder is also square-shaped at one end (again, unlike the image on the attached product card). This end now takes an extremely long time to dry because when you hang it upside down, the corners still hold little bits of liquid - a problem that the rounded shapes of all other bladders do not suffer from. How they imagine that there is 3.5 liters of capacity (minus the bladder) is beyond comprehension. The space for the bladder on the back only fits the bladder. There are no internal or external pockets, no dividers and not even an internal key ring attachment, so if you fill the 1.5 L bladder to capacity then you are not going to be able to fit anything else in the back, and if you do put anything in there without the bladder, it will bounce around the whole run because even the bladder does that somehow. The front "secure phone pocket" is so small that not a single phone I've owned for the last decade would fit in there, so you're forced to put your phone into the "Fuel and Gear Storage" pocket that has only an elastic drawstring to partially close it. This is a disaster waiting to happen when the phone bounces out or gets ripped out by a branch on the trail. Whatever else you put in to the tiny zipped pocket or the the other mesh pocket is going to be pushed up against your chest or ribs for the entire run if you put anything in the front pockets, because the front pockets are overlap the higher up pockets. As there is no padding whatsoever, putting your keys, flashlight or any other hard or sharpish objects in there is obviously a nightmare. I have no idea what CamelBak was thinking coming up with this complete dud of a product. It is horrendously designed from top to bottom and even the bladder doesn't save it (which you would expect to be at least the saving grace on a CamelBak product). If you've used and are used to CamelBak products or need a hydration option for running DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK! If you have no chest, arms, back or shoulder muscles, do not intend to use this for any kind of running, and do not care about stuff bouncing and sloshing around DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK! There are many alternatives that can't possibly be as bad as this clunker. ... show more

  • Amazing for running!
Color: Graphite/Sulphur Spring
When I started doing longer runs a couple years ago, I purchased a hand-held hydration flask, but didn't like having to *hold it* all the time, even when it was empty. I bought a no-name hydration vest last summer, but didn't like it as it was uncomfortable and poorly-made. My solution was to dig out a 15-year-old hydration backpack from EMS 15 and use that for my half-marathon training. Fast-forward to last week, and I treated myself to this Camelback Circuit 1.5L hydration vest. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! It is extremely lightweight, easy to fit to your body, and has three pockets for stashing your energy gels, phone, keys, ID, more water flasks, etc. I ran 11.5 miles yesterday at my best long-distance pace, and was able to easily dig out my phone to "like" a song, pull out an energy gel, rehydrate, etc. It made a long run a FUN RUN, and I look forward to using it for a long time. My only issues are quite minor: first, the zippered pocket for my phone wasn't big enough (Pixel 3XL), so I used one of the pockets with a cinch top. Second, the bitevalve is at a bit of an awkward angle, so I have to angle my head down and pull/suck to get a good stream of liquid. The included hydration bladder is incredible easy to fill, and even has a solid handle to help keep it open. This is now one of my more prized pieces of equipment, and I can't wait to use it next weekend! ... show more

  • Pocket substitute
Color: Graphite/Sulphur Spring
I live in rural NW MT and walk on my property and adjacent state land with my dog. I want/need to take water, phone and some camera stuff. This is working very well in Summer heat, i.e. ability to take all I need without weighing me down or adding items that make walking in heat uncomforatable.
