  • Exceptionally Well Done..
Platform For Display: Xbox 360 Edition: Collector's
This is probably one of the better early Collector's Editions. There isn't much too it, but what it does come with is a bit impressive, at least for those that are into collector's editions. It comes with a code that is good for a limited time of double XP which is definitely enough to help you boost up and catch up to others that have been playing and acquire some of the better weaponry. The case is solid and definitely has a fantastic design that really speaks about the game in a way. The canteen, while not an exact copy, is a very nice replica that really adds to the uniqueness that is World at War. I definitely would recommend this to anyone that is a WWII buff. This is probably the best WWII game to come out and it came out in a time when the market was saturated in WWII games...Couldn't recommend it more. You also receive a code that will unlock a machine gun. ... show more

  • Late review
Platform For Display: Xbox 360 Edition: Collector's
This was a great game, not like now with the cheap CoD games coming out. Don't bother now though since the whole reason to buy this was to play online and now it is so hacked you can't enjoy a real game with anyone. Pour one out for a dead friend WaW RIP you will be missed.

  • Why does Activision continue using Treyarch?
Platform For Display: Xbox 360 Edition: Collector's
Aside from the lackluster color palette and typical Treyarch gameplay issues, I have One major complaint: Campaign Co-Op (GREAT, say I, Just Like Halo 3, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, And Gears Of War 1 And 2!) is part of COD5 (Ooops, sorry . . . COD:WAW). Campaign Co-Op does not unlock Achievements. WTF?!?!? *WHAT* is the point of a Co-Op mode with no achievements? This is the kind of shoddy tacked-on design that made me hate the Treyarch Installments of the COD series (remember the Rifle-wrestle stick-wiggling in COD3?). Offer Multiplayer Co-Op or *DON'T* offer Multiplayer Co-Op . . . None of this half-A**ed tacked-on garbage. This is the last Treyarch COD I'm buying; Enough is Enough. I'll stick with the Infinity Ward COD releases from now on. SHAME ON YOU ACTIVISION for continuing to use this shoddy hack dev shop. To go from a Game like COD4 to this one makes me want to take out the disc, set it on fire, and chant *DOWN* WITH TREYARCH while I watch it burn. Never again. ... show more

  • Day 1 Edge sucks!
Platform For Display: Xbox 360 Edition: Collector's
Just a foreword, this is my review of one of what this Collector's edition promises to deliver, and that is the Day 1 Edge. What enticed me to get this collector's edition was the Day 1 edge. But it's a big disappointment. The FG42 gun is indeed available from Level 1, but only in the pre-made Machine Gunner class, and cannot be customized with perks and all. The gun in this class doesn't have the stopping power perk and there's no way to change it. The FG42 has a high rate of fire, low damage, a small clip, and empties in about a second. Without stopping power, you would need the whole clip to score a kill. This leaves you no room for any bit of mistake. If any of your bullets miss on that burst and your target turns to you, then you're pretty much doomed, because by now, you're holding on to a gun that has an empty clip. Also, facing an advanced enemy player that knows how to move from side to side, means death to you if you can't put all those bullets in. Imagine too how you would deal with a situation where you encounter more than one enemy at a time. This means a reload after killing one, and you probably could guess already how that would end. Bottom line, if you mostly care about getting this edition due to the Day 1 Edge, then just forget about it. I hope this helps. ... show more

  • A great Call of Duty game
Platform For Display: Xbox 360 Edition: Collector's
This game provided both my wife and I a lot of game time. We played the multiplayer as well as the zombie mode for hours on end. The DLC for this game is a great addition, but can add quite a bit of cost to the game. Any fan of WWII shooters should play this game...
