I'm very pleased with the quality and design of this guitar case at such a reasonable price. It is so much easier to use and protects so much better than the flimsy one that came with my guitar. I especially like the double adjustable shoulder straps and the extra handles on front and back (it also has the usual one on the side). The front handle makes it so easy to place the guitar in my car - when holding it by the back straps, I can lift the body by that front handle and place it gently wherever it needs to be. The large pocket on the front can hold a 9"x 12" music folder and other items, and the small pocket on the neck is good for small, narrow items, like pens or markers. It's also quite roomy. My classical guitar has a 15"x19"x4" body and is 39" overall length, but there's room for an instrument that is 3" longer and a bit wider. So glad I found this! ... show more

Ok, I have three different bass guitars that I use: Brice 6 string, Glarry 5 string, and a Ibanez SR375. The Glarry and the Brice I personally modified (and look almost identical on both color and gold hardware); the Ibanez is stock. I brought that up because when you mod an instrument, particularly with cheap Chinese parts as I did, they do look good, but you'd imagine that they need better protection than an average case/bag would provide. Not so. They look good, they perform wonderfully, and (shockingly) stay in tune; often better than my Ibanez SR375 (not that I'm speaking evil of the Ibanez). It is both an excellent and superior instrument in almost every way than the other two instruments: except for the tuners. Now, while I have two other padded gig bags and a hard case, the Cheya bass gig bag is my favorite, and I'll explain why. While I'm not going to compare it to the hard case other than to say that it weighs less and it's less bulky, I am going to tell you the difference between my other two bass gig bags. 1. Chromacast. The Chromacast padded gig bag is about the same level of protection as the Cheya gig bag, but less serviceable. Not bad, just less serviceable. All of my basses are long scale, and have a hard time fitting into the Chromacast gig bag. They all do fit, but it takes some effort to zip it up. Also there are 4 pockets on the gig bag, which is good, but for me, they are not good. I carry foldable guitar stands, several cords, a Zoom B1X Four multi effects unit, and various other hardware. These pockets are not big enough on the already small, tight gig bag to handle all of my extra gear, while the Cheya gig bag does with it's two pockets. Then there's this strange abberation where the case is so tight on my instruments, that the gig bag bends with the headstock of all three basses. That's how tight this gig bag is. Now mind you, it will protect your instrument, but it's just super tight, and the pockets are too small (for me, but maybe not for you). To it's credit though it does have nice straps on the back, a handle on the top, and another handle on the front. It is easy to carry. Still I prefer the Cheya gig bag over this one. 2. GatorCase GT Bass Transit. Ok, the GatorCase completely out classes the Cheya gig bag in every way. No comparison really. GatorCase GT Transit has probably 4x the padding and protection, great storage space, great straps and handles, even a pad inside for the guitar neck to rest on, and velour covered foam tuner protectors. All the bells and whistles. Now you're going to pay an average of $130.00+ for all those bells and whistles, while Cheya only costs 1/5 of that price. I still prefer the Cheya gig bag though I love the features of the Gator case. Also, while it is light, the GatorCase GT Transit is bulky, due to the padding. There's always a trade-off. Now if you're a gigging/professional musician, get the GatorCase. That's the better deal to protect your instrument. But if you're like me, practicing at home and occasionally playing church services, Cheya is your best bet. In the end, It's a matter of adequate protection and storage space vs price in each individual use case. For me Cheya just fits the bill. The Cheya gig bag fits all of my instruments, gives adequate storage space for all my gear, and extra hardware, plus it's inexpensive. Chromacast is not a bad gig bag, but didn't meet my needs (but maybe good for the beginner bassist). And although GatorCase GT Transit has a ton of features, it is pricy for a gig bag. There are more intermediate Gator Cases that could meet your needs. ... show more

I recently got a great deal on a Yamaha APX600 off of craigslist. I wanted a gig bag to store the guitar and for light transport but the name brands are priced about the same as I paid for the guitar! This bag is perfect for my needs and was on sale on Amazon. The bag appears well made, zippers are good and there is decent padding for your instrument. The fit is decent for my smaller concert APX guitar. I don't think a larger dread would fit in this case. The padding is light so this is not the right bag for a life on the road, but for a simple road trip or transport to practice it's fine. There are a lot of handles and backpack straps. Obviously, if I had a more expensive instrument I would buy a better bag of hard case, but for this guitar the bag is perfect. Great little bag at a good price for light padding! We will see how well it wears but so far it's good for my needs. ... show more

This bag exceeded my expectations. I bought it used like new for $22 which is a steal in my opinion. You're not going to be happy if you're looking for an every day r frequent carry. This is a light duty bag you use for basic protection to prevent scratches and an occasional short transport. It is in no way suited for travel. Spend the money for a suitable hard shell if that's what you need. I like the big storage pocket and multiple handles. I would buy this again if needed. It works great for my needs. ... show more

I bought this as used like ne for less than $20. It has adequate padding, storage pockets, and a good zipper. It works well for storage and transport. A full sized dreadnaught guitar fits well. I would buy this again.

I'm using this for an Alvarez acoustic-electric guitar. I think it measured at 42" and it fits perfect. I wanted a way to take my guitar to and from church for practice and Sunday worship without using a heavy, clunky hard case. This fits exactly what I wanted in a travel bag. The padding is okay, don't expect to be throwing it around or anything though. Just for a ride in a vehicle it is more than sufficient. I think what I like the most is the variety of handles. I don't use the shoulder straps, but they're perfectly usable. There is a hanging strap in the center just above the shoulder straps. There is a regular carry handle on the side of the bag where you'd expect one to be on a hard case. The other is a nice handle with an overmolded grip on the top of the bag at the guitar body. When I'm getting out of my truck, I can find a good handle to grab it on the way out the seat. The large pocket is nice for music books or my Bible so I can free up a hand. The little pocket at the very end is just about too small though. I can put my capo in there and I'd put the pick in also, however, it is hard to get the pick out as my hand just can't fit very well in the zippered opening. I think that's the only complaint which still doesn't take away a star, I really enjoy the bag and it feels durable enough to last a long time. ... show more
