We liked this chicory blended coffee right off but it may be an aquired taste for some since there is a bit of a vegetable backnote. The chicory knocks down the caffiene by 20% due to this same percentage of caffeine-free chicory blended with coffee. Chicory adds its own nutrition too. It is meant to be brewed strong. I drink my coffee black and I have found that this coffee tastes great. Be careful to brew properly. I have found that you only need half as much as a coffee from a store, like Hills Brothers, or Yuban, etc..

Very strong coffee!! I used the exact amount of this as I was with my Royal Cup Dark Roast Coffee and found out that I used waaaaayy too much!! Used just under half the scoop as usual and It was perfect the second morning.
