I used this cable to connect an outdoor PoE security camera to my PoE network switch inside my home office. The camera was immediately recognized by the network switch. After that I was able to configure the camera via the Blue Iris interface on my laptop. The cable is not thick but feels sturdy. The only thing I am not sure about is how reliable are these right angle RJ45 connectors if you use it in a way where you have to unplug and plug these connectors frequently. I have a feeling they are the weak part of the cable. To me it is not a problem because the cable was intended to be setup permanently (or at least until the security camera dies). But if you intend to move the cable around you'd be better off with the regular RJ45 connectors. ... show more

This CableCreation CAT8 is what you get just like what is described. The cable feels thin and you wonder if it’s capable of delivering the speed. It did not disappoint. The rotating angle helps to position the connection the right way in many different angles you can imagine. The good news is that this cable works, at least at 1 Gb/s. I have no means to test it a real cat 8 speeds (40 Gb/s or so). The bad news is that the 360 swivel connectors are really a bit of a gizmo -- whichever way you turn them they end up at an awkward angle. They don't feel very solid, and the whole cable in general is pretty thin. I suppose it's ok if you need an ethernet cable and you'd like it to come out at an angle from whatever device you're plugging it in, but I wouldn't really count on it for much else. ... show more
