I just ordered this on a whim to test it out. I have been using Mademoiselle for many years. I wanted to have something I could keep in the car and that wouldn’t be so costly. I ordered this roll-on and thought it had very similar flower notes they Mademoiselle has. Does it smell exactly like it? No, but it’s pretty similar in scent. I tested them side by side and the roll-on had a little more warmth to it than the actual Perfume. Again, the point of ordering oils from these vendors isn’t to find something exact, it’s an impression, an ode to the original. For $10, I think it makes for a great substitute if you don’t have the $$$ to get the actual CoCo Chanel, Mademoiselle. ... show more

Scent: CRT GREENISH IRISH TWEED IMPRESSION Size: 0.33 Fl Oz
If you have never tried perfume oil, and have only ever used cologne in eau de toilette form, try oil and it will change the way you feel about the alcohol-laden eau de toilette fragrances. This specific oil, a replica of Creed's Green Irish Tweed, is absolutely spot on. The fact that the fragrance is oil based is beneficial in several ways. Firstly, the scent will last longer on your body than its eau de toilette counterpart. And, in my opinion the scent is magnified in intensity, and will ebb and wane with your body's natural and induced heat cycles. What does that mean? When you get hot and sweat, the scent gets stronger. When you cool down, it diminishes. And the scent will last longer than a typical eau de toilette scent will. While this particular product does not match the longevity of the brand name it imitates, it does last longer than a typical EdT and is worth the $10 you will spend on it. The scent will change slightly from the moment it leaves the bottle and is applied to your skin over the course of the next 10 or so minutes. But if you are wearing Creed's ANYthing you likely already know about body chemistry and how colognes change and mix with your natural pheromones to bend the scent to something that is uniquely you - yadda yadda yadda - I won't go into the science of it. Just know that after a few minutes the scent will change and that scent will intensify when you sweat, and last exponentially longer than an eau de toilette fragrance. For the casual, everyday cologne wearer, and for those who have the pleasure of enjoying the scent you wear, the return on investment is astounding. Authentic Green Irish Tweed, any fragrance from Creed really, can run up to $450 and beyond. Yes, some will say it is worth every penny. I say it's worth every penny if you have $450 worth of pennies to spend on a luxury consumable that, let's be honest, will eventually evaporate into thin air. This perfume oil facsimile of the same sent is about $10 bucks and NO ONE - not even you, Sir, will be able to tell the difference. Not even a snooty perfume salesman with a bad attitude, elitist air about them, and a nose like an anteater. I'd wage large sums of money on it. The price is affordable, the scent is accurately reproduced, and you will smell like ... well, you'll smell like Creed's Green Irish Tweed! And that means you'll smell like $450 bucks! ... show more

I've never worn Creed Adventus, so I have no real reference to the original fragrance. I've only heard many people say how much they love it, and I was curious as to how it might smell. Since the reviews for this product were so high, I decided to give it a try. I had it shipped to my office, and when it arrived, I immediately put some of the oil on my neck. Everyone in the office started asking, "What is that wonderful smell?" I noticed that it immediately reminded me of Bond No.9 Bleecker Street, one of my favorites. The oil lasted all day, and I am thoroughly pleased. Will order more. ***Update*** So I ordered the sample size of Creed Adventus, and the two are slightly different. I actually prefer this impression over the real thing! Crazy huh?? I don't know... something about the Adventus reminds me of middle eastern fragrances I'm not crazy about.
