    • A nice tote bag, not really great as a purse. Middle quality leather as far as I can tell.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality for the cost. This smells like real leather, has a nice feel and the color is lovely. It is not however, the really top grade leather, the kind that gets softer and nicer with age. They state you need to be careful not to rub it against rough textures, so I think this is top grain leather (see below) which is sort of a middle quality. Not really a purse though, as it does not close at the top, I would not carry a wallet in this, too easy to lose. Great for your smaller laptop and other work stuff. I like that it does not have a big logo. It comes in a huge shoe type box, with the purse wrapped in tissue paper and foam. A bit about leather Pebbled leather is not a thing, they are just describing the texture. Leather comes in different qualities, and the names are hard to remember and grading leather is not straightforward because it also depends on the manufacturer, but as a rule of thumb you can use the definitions below. . The lowest quality is “genuine leather” that just means it is made out of leather bonded together. Next is top grain leather, its made by splitting full grain leather and sanding away imperfections. Best quality is full grain leather, this is the sort that is made from the whole hide, it often has imperfections but ages really well, full grain is the kind that gets better with age. ... show more

The C.Paravano Hobo Tote Bag is beautifully constructed and presented! From the opening of the box to openkng the actual purse, I was impressed. The stitching on the bag is solid and the gold-tones of the buttons make it quite elegant. I appreciate the ability to carry it as an open tote or collapse the sides to use more as a purse. I am loving this handbag! This is my first time having this brand and so far it is pretty promising. The bag has the look and feel of soft grain leather along with the smell (which strangely I love). The stitching seems tight and straight. Looks heavy but is very light. There is one snap button to close the purse so no zippers at all on outside or inside of this bag. Only one pocket inside but so much room! I love the details of the gold metallic lettering of the brand name on the bottom of the purse and the color is absolutely unique and gorgeous!!!
