I need a tiny powder compact for my tiny purse, and this fit the bill. To be honest, it’s the only reason I bought it, as I have never tried By Terry products before. I have very oily skin (though I’m in my 50’s, no end to the oil in sight), and like this powder so much, I will be buying a full size for use at home when I run out of my current holy grail powder. I tend to have dry under eyes now that I’m 63. I hydrate so much & use a hydrating concealer which settles into my fine lines. Every setting powder I’ve tried would tend to make my under eyes even drier & my lines more noticeable. I’d read about By Terry HA Pressed Setting powder on many beauty blogs. They were right! This works beautifully! No dryness, no creasing & no flashback. I bought the mini which will last forever as it takes just the smallest amount & is easy to throw in an evening bag for touchups. By Terry is a prestige brand that integrates skincare into its makeup. I've always loved makeup from the line, and I own quite a bit of it; I'm usually impressed by the silky texture of the foundations and the rose-scented products. I do like this By Terry Hyaluronic Pressed Hydra-Powder; I don't find it quite as translucent as the line might wish it were. I found it to be a tiny bit white instead of completely translucent. While it did transform my undereye concealer into something quite budge-proof, this cooling powder also subtly added a white overlay wherever it sat on my face, ultimately adding a tinge of wan-looking paleness to my skin. I would suggest only brushing this on with the lightest touch, understanding this as a delicate finishing touch (not that I added this with a heavy hand, or anything, but it really is pale if it shows up any time at all). With that said, when applied lightly and blended, it tones down a hyper-dewy complexion to a chic matte look, and that makeup stays put. I have drier skin and eczema-prone skin, but my forehead will still get sweaty or oily during the hot days. This powder does an excellent job in controlling that without accentuating any dryness from forehead. I appreciate how this small, pressed powder has a powder puff as well. Only downside is that it is definitely quite pricey, but the product is great! ... show more

Wonderful powder. I love the way this goes on my skin lightly and leaves a soft matte look without drying out my skin. It helps keep my skin from looking dry and it doesn’t sit in my pores. It almost feels cool going on my skin. It doesn’t have any color to it so it should work for most people.

I love everything about this product. The compact itself has several details that make it great. It's tiny, so it's great to keep in your purse. The little applicator pillow is magnetic, so it clips into place and won't get lost. And the whole thing clips shut and stays shut. (Ever had a pressed powder come open in your bag? Not a fun time.) The product inside is translucent powder, as described. I have another similar, high-end product that is loose powder and I would say this is on the same level, performance wise. Because it is pressed powder, this one is easier to use, though. Just a few quick swipes help to immediately mattify skin and set makeup.     • LIGHT AS AIR / STOPS SHADOW CREASING / WORKS WELL ON OLDER SKIN
OMG am I glad I tried this powder. I'm 70 and my once oily skin is now normal so the addition of HA prompted me to give it a try. Its so finely milled that it goes on light as air and disappears into your foundation. I only use a tiny amount of powder on my T-zone, but with slightly oily eyelids, shadow tends to crease even with primer so I tried it on my lids. After my eye cream and primer, I dusted it lightly over my crease area and applied shadow. My shadow stayed put with O creasing! And, unlike other powders I've tried on my lids, this one didn't enhance my slightly crinkly lids! This one is worth the $$. ... show more
