  • It's not so easy to control.
Color: Medium Fair
This concealer said it does not go into wrinkles and lines, but I used it under my eyes and it did go into my wrinkles and lines. It's hard to control the amount that comes through the brush. It always seems that too much comes out and it's wasted. From afar it looks pretty good under my eyes. Closer to me, not so good. ... show more

  • Seems high quality and moisturizing but dispenser is not the best
Color: Medium Fair
I don't like the dispenser. Too much of it comes out when it goes into the brush so a lot is wasted. I would have to use an earbud and sponge so i can properly apply it on my skin imperfections. But I don't usually need a lot to conceal so what's on the brush goes to waste. And with the price tag, that's REALLY a shame. It does work well though in concealing. ... show more

  • Fair is not fair, at least no where near fair enough for me. And brush tip is messy
Color: Fair
This comes in a nice outer product box. The ingredients are listed on the back. The first ingredient is dimethicone, and looking at the ingredients there’s other dimethicone ingredients (like PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, caprylyl methicone, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, divinyldimethicone/dimethicone crosspolymer. So, if you don’t like silicone products, you probably won’t like this. It also has parabens in it (methylparaben. It is made in France. I didn’t see a cruelty free logo anywhere. This claims to be a “hyaluronic hydra concealer.” So, I figured Hyaluronic acid would be high on the ingredient list. I was surprised to find it was the second to last ingredient. I really HATE when companies make claims about a product, using it to sell the product, especially putting it in the name, and then have that ingredient be low on the ingredient list. I especially hate it when the product is a higher priced item like this is. The stick is interesting. It’s pretty big - tall and wider than most concealers I have. It has a black cap and silver reflective center. The applicator is a thick brush tip. On the bottom is a button you press to get product out onto the brush tip. I got the shade “100 Fair.” This is DARK! Not sure how they consider this shade to be “fair,” but maybe I’m just so pale it seems pretty dark to me. I did swatches comparing this to my L’Oréal Infallible Full Wear in 325 Eggshell and my Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer in Fair Rose. As you can see, it’s a lot darker than those. I really wanted to love this, but I just didn’t. The concealer itself works well. It’s hydrating, okay coverage. But the applicator just turns me completely off. It’s messy as can be! I show a photo of it after use, it’s just so messy. The applicator applies the concealer fine, but it doesn’t blend it out at all. It just spreads it around, so you need to use your finger, sponge, or another brush to blend it out. It does say to apply it and then use your ring finger to lightly blend. So, the brush applicator isn’t meant to blend out the concealer. But, I find it odd to have a brush tip and then not supposed to be used to blend it out? Maybe that’s just me. I don’t know. It’s just messy and I don’t like it. Overall, the concealer is nice. It has okay coverage. Not full, but evens things out. It’s hydrating. But, the shade is way too dark for me. So, even if I liked it, it wouldn’t work for me. If the shade worked for me, I’d play around more with it to figure out if I could find a way to use it where I like it, but since the shades too dark, I don’t see the point. If it comes in a shade that works for you, you don’t mind the messy brush tip applicator, and like light, hydrating coverage, this would work well for you. ... show more

  • Best Color Match Ever▪️Not Full Coverage Alone But Layers Well▪️Great Texture (4.5 Stars)
Color: Medium Fair
I've had dark undereye circles since I was a teen, and I’m in my late 50’s now. I’ve tried many different concealers over the years. This By Terry Hydra-Concealer is working well for me as I get dry under my eyes and it adds moisture that helps hydrate and smooth my dry skin. However, with such dark circles, it doesn’t give me quite the full coverage I get in my usual brand (though it may be ample for those who don’t have as dark of circles). I do like that I haven’t had issues with it creasing or looking cakey. And I actually use it a lot as the texture is thick enough and the application is smooth and creamy, plus the “medium fair” shade is the best color match I can recall trying for my light skin with an olive hue. It looks really natural while also brightening my undereye area more than my usual concealer. Because the color blends so well with my complexion and the formula provides such smooth coverage, I end up using By Terry a lot on days I’m not doing my full makeup but still want to tone down my undereye darkness. It gives me enough coverage so my dark circles don’t stand out and make me look exhausted. I’ve ended up using this concealer often on casual days when I’m just hanging out at home, running errands, going for a neighborhood walk, etc. And, when I’m applying full makeup, I’ve found I can layer By Terry over another product in my dark circle arsenal to get ample coverage that looks quite good. For example, due to a hot climate, I use Colorscience Total Eye 3-in-1 almost daily (mostly for sun protection). It has color but I still need concealer after because it doesn’t give me enough dark circle coverage by itself. What’s nice is it gives me some color correction as I use the “fair” shade that has a peachy tone, and I end up with really good dark circle coverage when I apply this By Terry concealer over Colorscience. I also get nice coverage when I apply By Terry after using a good primer under my eyes (such as fair/light Laura Geller Spackle primer). So By Terry doesn’t alone give me quite enough coverage as I have bad dark circles, but I’m pleased with the coverage I get layering it over another product. By Terry has a brush applicator that I don’t feel strongly about. I mostly like it, but I’d get even more utility from it if the bristles were just a bit stiffer. I press a button underneath to dispense the concealer and a firm press can dispense more than I need, but I’ve gotten used to pressing it to get just about the right amount. The brush is soft and easy to use to dab the product under my eyes without touching the concealer with my finger like I do with my usual concealer that comes in a tube. I blend with a concealer brush with stiffer bristles, so the brush applicator would be amazing if the bristles were a bit stiffer. But it works fine for neatly dabbing product under my eyes. While I can nitpick small issues, I’m ultimately using this concealer and am happy with the results. 4.5 Stars. ... show more
