If you don't like rose fragrances, go yonder. If you do like them, or want to try one, come hither. This is genuine, new-in-box. I expected a more complex fragrance because there are so many notes, but on me, they drown each other out. I get rose, rose, rose all day. A hint of green, a hint of berry, but none of the other notes. Supposedly, there are notes like patchouli, mimosa, musk, violet, jasmine, and sandalwood, among others. When I wear it, I feel like I'm standing in the rose bin at Flowerama. It smells like a heavier version of Tea Rose by Perfumer's Workshop for Women , which is not a bad thing. But I know when I buy Tea Rose, I'm getting straightforward rose. So is this. Rose Essentielle has little sillage, but the staying power is eternal. After wearing it a week, I asked my husband if he like it. He moved very close to me and said, "It's nice. It's soft". It doesn't seem soft to me. I was nervous about wearing it to work, because the fragrance screams rose to my nose. Apparently, it is soft, though, because no one seems to notice it. I love rose fragrance, so I do enjoy it, but it isn't a fully rounded fragrance to me. It is nice, but it's missing some sort of je ne sai quois. Need I say more...it's Bvlgari! They've masterly captured the delicate scent of roses with the luxury scents they are known for to produce a heavenly combination that is not overpowering, yet it lingers all day. Most perfumes tend to give me a headache after a while, even those from some of the best brands. Normally, when I do wear perfumes (I tend to use natural oils) I'm a Chanel or Dolce & Gabbana girl though not as often because of my sensitivity to perfumes. So, this Bvlgari scent was a perfect find for me. I can wear it as often as I like, it is a lovely scent! This perfume is sexy and alluring. soft but powerful and surprisingly doesn't smell like a bed of roses. Every woman deserves a luxurious perfume and this is definitely one to have. The bottle is elegantly sculpted but yet simple with a distinction that sets it a part from from just being a designer perfume (i.e. paying for the name brand). The smell is really something you will want to buy over and over for decades to come. This is a bargain for the price compared to department stores and long lasting scent. This is THE real deal and I love it. I have been using it for months and receive compliment after compliment on the soft, subtle smell. I use Bvlgari for Women in the fall and winter and Bvlgari Rose in the spring and summer months. I'm very pleased with the quality and longevity of this perfume :)

I've been wanting to buy this from Macys but it's quite expensive. Glad to receive a gift card to shop at Amazon (from my niece on my bday) and I immediately looked for this. The package was great and it came from it's original box. This fragrance is okay to wear everyday and the scent is good enough to last for 8 hrs. I wore it to work and when I got home, I could still smell it. If you like that floral scent with a little mixture of Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan, this is for you.
