I very much liked this product it for sure holds two sticks of butter, it would’ve been nice for its size to be able to hold at least one more stick. People have complained about how the butter knife on top falls off easily, and it does, I wish they would’ve put a little magnet in the handle and on the lid to hold it in place, other than that, I think the butter knife is a little short and hard to use so I usually use a regular butter knife. ... show more

Ok we love the design in the house but it is missing a little hole/shaft/cutout on the side border to set the spreader once you use it. Otherwise the lid is going to get greasy and ugly (wife opinion as soon as it arrived, and was true the next morning at breakfast). Also after a while in the fridge, the rubber ribbon around the wood lid gets dirty and gets dark spots which is not cool, so you have to be careful to clean it often so it doesn't get those and the grease on top if your kids end up putting back on top after use. But in general 4stars product. I wish I could cutout ceramic, the border needs a small slot/aperture/cutout to set the spreader. ... show more

My only minor quibble is that the picture makes look like it would handle a 1-pound block of butter like the ones you get at Costco - which honestly is why I purchased it -and while the block fits, it isn't tall enough for the lid to close over it.
