  • A Classic, Timeless Masterpiece! Feel Good Music!
I'm not a huge Snoop Dogg fan but Bush is a well put together album. Pharrell and Snoop really did their thing and it's an excellent listen from start to finish. Those who are calling this album garbage clearly don't have an ear for feel good laid back music and probably want to hear Snoop gangster rapping like he did in 1992. Well grow up! This is grown folks music and I'm glad Snoop disappointed you because I love this album! Excellent, laid back California grooves perfect to listen to on a drive on a Sunny day or to just kick back and relax to. This is the best album I've heard from Snoop in a long time and I bought it on a whim but I'm glad I got it. It has such a warm, laid back vibe to it. Which is really what Snoop is all about. I like this new sound by him a lot and if he keeps another album like this I'll buy it. Pharrell does an amazing job of taping into that laid back California sound. The album also features many talented guest artists. R&B legend Charlie Wilson does background vocals on several tracks. Stevie Wonder really helps make the opening track on the album, California Roll, to shine. Brent Paschke does a great job on electric guitar on a few songs. I even like Gwen Stefani's vocals on Run Away and Rick Ross and Kendrick Lamar contribute excellent verses on the last track, I'm Ya Dogg, which closes the album out nicely. So this album is definitely a keeper. Standout tracks for me are California Roll, R U A Freak, So Many Pros, Peaches N Cream and I Knew That but like I said all the tracks are solid and it's an album I can listen to from beginning to end without skipping any tracks. Clocking in at a little over 45 minutes it's not a very long album. As I said it only has 10 tracks so I wish it had a few more but it's still a great album and with so many great artists on it, it's pretty much an all star cast and an album I'll be listening to for years to come. A perfect album for this summer with summer beats to match. ... show more

  • Cool grooves, funky beats.
Uncle snoop does it again. Snoop is great in that he grew up with the old school sensibilities and music and this album feels like a throwback to what his parent might have had him listen to growing up. Cool grooves, funky beats. Love it. Farrel and snoop is a close second combo to DR.DRE and snoop.

  • Who doesn't like some Bush?
Snoop seems to always make the music he wants to make, no matter the current trends. This album is a testament to those comments. While Snoop is not really rapping at all on this album it still has a Snoop Dogg vibe going. Pharrell handles the production for the most part and they have good chemistry. Its a fun album and should get a lot of play in the summertime. Snoop has always had songs where he harmonizes and I think this album is what Ego Trippin was trying to be. Snoop is so cool he can pull something like this off and it not sound forced or corny. This is his The Love Below album I guess but its str8 Doggystyled on a more mature tip though. I'd give this album a 3.75. So I rounded it off to 4 stars. Lyrics- C- Production- A- ... show more

  • sounding like something archived from the '80's
Maybe one of the most versatile artists of this era. This album, executively produced by Pharrell Williams, is a different side of Snoop that listeners may not be used to, sounding like something archived from the '80's. Nevertheless that is exactly what makes the album special. Snoop has given us an album that sounds completely different than any other album that has recently dropped. This album, for the lack of a better term is "funky"and very enjoyable. Following in the foot steps of Kendrick, who has proven that the Hip-Hop fans will buy an album that is "different," Snoop effectively gave us something that is just that; different from the norm. If you are dissatisfied with current rap music and open to hear something different from the norm, I strongly advise you to give this album a try. ... show more

  • Reinvented
Put aside any preconceived notions or expectations of xxx rated lyrics and tired 'gangsta' drivel. That's been done to death. Snoop has excelled in that category and already proved his one of the 'top doggs' when it comes to that style. So having climbed that mountain, he's moved off to new territory. What blows me away was how different this recording is and he freakin nails it. You got firm 70s grooves going on, you got velvety R&B and you got stylistic sonic environments. - If I didn't know who this was, I'd be dying to find out...Say "Snoop Dogg" I'd be thinking "WHAT?!". Yeah, that different. Just can't say enough good things about this recording. So matured, so refined and surrounded by some of the best in the industry both then and now. - And the kicker, you don't get one or two good songs, just about the entire album is concise, consistent and palatable. ... show more

Great album but, this ad is misleading. You will not get a free MP3 download as it expired 7/18/2016. False advertisements suck.
