I have to say I'm always suspicious of skincare/beauty products. However, so far Burt's Bees lip products have never let me down. Once you apply the mask it has somewhat of an odd minty feeling and flavor, but it's not a bad one. It might even have a slight minty burn depending on how chapped your lips are. Rest assured, that doesn't mean it's irritating your lips it just means you needed the mask more then you realized lol. Sleep in it, and when you wake up most if not all will be absorbed into your lips leaving them smoother and so moisturized! Not an instant fix but definitely close to one! I probably wouldn't use it every night so as not to risk irritating your lips (the same thing can happen with over using any lip balm!), and although certain lip products from other companies have given me a rash, this lip mask has never done that. So long as you use it consistently (say, every other night) and keep your lips moisturized in the day time you'll see results within 24 hours (aka a day of moisturized lips leading into a night of the lip mask). Did I mention it reduced my lip lines? A little goes a long way, and it's been one of the few products I keep in my lip routine as it has helped saved my lips! (I would recommend wearing a NK Vitamin E lip gel/gloss in the day time AND any night you don't use the mask. It's not too sticky and it works a charm!) ... show more

This stuff works like a miracle! I tend to get nasty dry and cracked lips and regular chapstick just doesn't cut it. This stuff is heavy and stays on your lips as well as healing them! I know they're advertised as an overnight sleeping mask, but I keep it in my car and use it throughout the day. My lips are super soft and mosturized. I love both of these items, and had saw the reviews stating the scrub isn’t really a scrub - and I agree. While I love how it feels, it’s almost like beeswax, that as you rub on your lips forms a little ball and drops off. Good texture — thick and creamy, no scent, no flavor. I use this AFTER applying HA to my face and neck, then add my spot treatments. This is for the lips and highly effective esp. with the HA + Burt’s Intensive topper. Good results in the morning: lines around the lips are softened. I apply the Burt’s all around my mouth, including vertical lip lines — “color OUTSIDE the lips” as well as inside. This is one of my favorite products for my nighttime routine. I keep it in my nightstand as well as keep one at my mother‘s place in my nightstand there. I do visit her often and it’s one of my staple personal items. I bought one in the store and my second, I got here on Amazon. The product lasts a long time as you don’t need much per application. I don’t have any complaints about the product and tried to think of some thing that I dislike about it. After 3 days of use before bed and in the morning, I can it definitely moisturizes well. With that said, it doesn’t exfoliate (which it doesn’t claim to) so you’ll still have the dry skin left on top if that makes sense. So I will pair this with an exfoliating scrub.

This is the only lip balm that stays on for most or all of the night. My lips get so dry while I’m sleeping, and I wouldn’t think of going to bed without this. I have a whole stock of lip products, but this is my go to.
