TL; DR: Great desk for the price, just be careful when assembling. Easy overall. Assembled in an hour. The item arrived in perfect condition, no dings or imperfections, and all the pieces were there. I put this together in an hour and have had way worse experiences with Ikea stuff. There are a couple moments in assembly where you have to pay attention to what direction you’re putting things (as per usual), but the directions are reasonably easy to follow. Before I put the top on, I tested the mechanism since other reviews complained the circuit board was faulty. It’s easy to connect and mine worked great. It sounds a little stressed when it gets to the top of its motion, so we will see how long this lasts. It looks great and I didn’t get stressed out at all. Purchase with confidence. I've had this desk for a year now. It is everything as advertised. No issues with the motor. Has acceptable range of height. I'm 6'1" and it works for me. (I set it up with the wheels on.) If you are shorter, you may want to leave the wheels off so the desk surface is a little lower. I really like the "L" shape. Like all laminate surfaces, the edges will chip easily, so be careful not to bang your chair into the edge. Otherwise, the surface is very tough and wares well and has maintained its "new" look. ... show more

Although it took hours, the desk is rather easy to assemble. And it worked and went up and down the first time I plugged it in. The desk is nice and I was happy when I saw it moved. But just after I replugged to another outlet the desk never moves again. I replugged several times but nothing changed. I can always hear a "beep" after plugging in, and the controller shows the "69" digit number for a few seconds. But there is no response when I press any of the buttons during the controller's screen is on. And the screen goes dark after a few seconds. I reconnected the circuit and I can always hear a "beep" after connecting the power cable and the ac adapter, but nothing changed. I don't want to disassemble the desk and it's very heavy to return. I could not find customer service, and please help if you guys see this review. ... show more

This desk is very heavy once the motor is on it and it’s not fun when your moving but! I love it and it’s on wheels so that’s fantastic. You can program the heights which is convenient. It takes some time to put together but is very sturdy. Well worth the money.
