Description

This paper dispenser / cutter from Bulman is perfect for use in butcher shops, markets or grocery stores. It smoothly dispenses many types of paper including butcher, Kraft and gift wrapping paper. It cuts evenly, using either side of the double-edged blade. Roll changing is simple with dowel holders and knife arms that lock into the open position. This paper dispenser / cutter also includes rubber feet to protect the surfaces. It can also be mounted underneath a counter or on a wall. This dispenser / cutter can hold up to a 9" diameter roll and is finished in a light gray powder coat. This was super simple to set up and start using right away. It holds my heavy 18” roll of butcher paper, doesn’t slide on my countertop and makes it easy to tear off the exact amount I need for each project. I definitely recommend this for all sublimation crafters.

I'm using this cutter to hold butcher paper which I use for sublimation. It was a little confusing to set up my counter-top version, but I finally figured it out. I use this paper roll cutter with butcher paper for sublimation and it has all of the qualities I was looking for. It’s sturdy, feels like it will last years, holds small rolls as well as the 1000-foot rolls from Sam’s Club, and comes with non-slip feet for stabilizing on a work surface. I had previously ordered a more expensive cutter from a different brand and it left my butcher paper absolutely shredded along the edges. This cutter gives me nice clean tears every time. This cutter arrives assembled. All you have to do it open it up to lock into place and install the non-slip feet if you plan to use it on a counter or tabletop. If you plan to mount this on a wall, I would recommend taking into consideration what size roll you plan to use with this. If you’re using extra-large rolls, it will likely be too heavy to hang safely. Installing the paper roll onto the dowel and into the cutter is easy with a smaller roll. I first installed a 100-foot roll of butcher paper and was easily able to do it myself. However, when installing the 1000-foot roll, it was so much heavier that I did require a second person’s help. Just something to keep in mind if you plan to use this dispenser for extra-large rolls. The “cutting blade” on this dispenser isn’t actually sharp. It’s not serrated at all and initially I had some concerns that it wouldn’t be able to give me clean cuts. Fortunately, it’s super easy to use and gives really crisp tears. I’ve attached a photo of a torn edge. It’s superior in every way when compared to serrated edge cuts that can risk leaving an imprint on sublimation blanks. The one thing to note is that it isn’t the easiest to use with a single hand. It can be done, but it’s easier if you have a palm to stabilize the roll while tearing with the other hand. Overall, I would highly recommend this paper roll cutter to anyone looking for one, especially those that are looking for a butcher paper cutter for sublimation. I bought this with the intention of hanging it on the wall to get my butcher paper off the table. Paper fits great on there, super easy to assemble everything. Only downside is that the right side of the bar/blade pops out extremely easily when I try to angle it onto the wall. You can see that I don’t even have a full roll of butcher paper on there and the blade pops out so I know there’s no way it would work with a full roll on it. And I definitely don’t feel comfortable hanging it unless I do it with the blade facing up. So all in all, it works but it’s not super sturdy. ... show more

I use butcher paper in my heat press for sublimation. I was storing it upright to save space. I got tired of trying to cut off the big roll. I was afraid of getting this and it taking up too much space that I didn't have. I finally got it and I can't believe I waited so long. It works great. Arrived bent and extremely dirty. Also came with the serrated edge which was not in the description and wasn't wanted. Should have spent a few more dollars in a better one.
