I planned to add it to my smoothie with strawberries, bananas and whey protein mixed with Acai juice, but a tiny spoon of Shilijat destroyed the smoothie. I tried both this and another shilajit product, and it did seem as though I might have experienced a decline in inflammation. What I couldn't tell was whether that was due to the shilajit, or other factors like diet, or even if there was a definite decline. Additionally, in my experience the powders aren't particularly messy, and I can measure and mix the correct doses without too much hassle. Taste However, the biggest downside for me is the taste. While I do think this is decent quality (as it smells like the real stuff), it has some issues: -doesn’t seem to dissolve well at all, even in hot water -very strong taste for a small amount -you seem to need much more than if it was in the tar-like form -when I tried it I didn’t notice the effects as much as when i use the other tar-looking type. I love bulk supplements for a number of items for personal supplement, baking, blending, etc. This shilajit is reddish (based on color, not saying the highest quality per traditional ayurveda) but the odor is typical and strong to what I would expect of shilajit. The taste is also typical earthy, bitter is, strong. This resin is extra fine ground (dusty!) But can be poured into capsules or shakes (with blender.. it is too fine to mix fast by hand, but still won't take too long) for personal use. This bag has any servings and price is fair. Easy to open but the powder makes it hard to close well. Will have to try a few days before commenting on effects or quality so not mentioning yet ... show more
