    • Saved my ebike after hub failure

I have a mid drive ebike I built and there was something wrong with my rear hub which I ignored and eventually the rotational force sheared off the nut which holds in the bearings entirely and the hub got stuck in place. It was important I quickly fixed it without going to a shop so I just replaced the whole wheel with this one. The cassette is much higher quality then the previous one and increased my top speed dramatically. I bought this as I had to replace the fork on my mountain bike when it started leaking oil. Since the new fork had mounting for disc brakes (yes, it is a very old bike) I decided to upgrade to that from the rim brakes and needed this wheel to mount the disc to. Freehub locked up at about 45 miles of use. You cannot take the freehub out of the wheel to replace it if it fails. Do not buy if you want a reliable wheel that is also serviceable. The freehub also made a noticeable grinding noise when coasting (not the normal click that is heard from a standard freehub). If I could give it 0 stars, I would absolutely do so. ... show more

I was super excited when this wheel arrived, but come to find out that it will not work with a rim style brake system. Only made for a disk brake. Otherwise, if I could have used the wheel, it was lightweight and felt structurally solid.
