These are so comfy for me which is difficult to find because small heel, short toes, kinda flat feet, and cankles. I wear women’s US 8.5 tennis shoes and women’s US 9 heeled boots. The women’s 9/ men’s 8 in these skates fit great. Due to the flatness I also have in LTOHOE Memory Foam Insoles for Women, Pink US 7.5 which fit near perfect in these. The round waxed laces were uncomfortable in one area rubbing on my right big toe knuckle because this foot is slightly wider than the left, so I swapped with flat shoe laces in there and now it’s perfect. ... show more

I love the look of the skate. The comfort is perfect. The sole has a memory foam snd padding around the ankle/chin. Easy to control movements. The wheels have just enough bounce you need trying to OG skate. I'm a newbie at this style of skating so I need all the comfort I can get. The only issue I have is that the left front stopper keeps coming off. Other then that for the price, comfort and style they get 5stars. ... show more

I spent soo much time trying to find the right skates for me, and these were definitely the right choice. I had some bad luck with the last few skates I purchased because of my wide feet. But these are seriously soo comfortable & I didn’t even have to break them in. My plan was to buy these and then save up for moxi skates but I decided not to even buy the moxies because these are perfect. I’m a size 7 to 7-1/2 but decided to go with a size 8 and they fit great. The media could not be loaded. I’m not a pro skater by any stretch, but I have been rollin’ for awhile. I have three other pairs from other brands, and while Chaya is still a respectable 2nd, BTFL has totally changed my skate game. I was in love by the time I’d laced up my first boot. 1) Comfort: if I’m not comfy on my skates, I’m screwed. These beauties are very pliable, and will eventually mold to my feet. They have padding where I tend to put the most pressure - until now I’ve been wearing my own ankle protectors, but no need with BTFL. 2) Wheels: these were the tipping point for me ~ I’m going from street/derby style to artistic, and these are exactly what I needed to add some grace to my moves. They’re the perfect width I need for dance, and the rounded edges make transitions so much more intuitive. 3: Heels: I don’t wear skates with heels. I’ve always had derby skates (they usually look like a skate shoe) - I think I thought they were more low key (plus I have fallen arches - heels HURT.) I take it all back. The little adjustment in balance helping all my turns and practice drills look 10x better. This whole brand is great at maintaining a retro feel with understated features that are essential to a quality skate. I have flat feet so I wear insoles, but I’m totally flabbergasted how much these heels in particular have helped my posture. 4) Style: I’ve skated Chaya, Moxi, Bont, and Riddell, and these just win over everything I’ve worn so far. I didn’t realize how beautiful they were until I was already wearing them, but these are genuinely lovely skates. I’m so excited at the adjustable toe stop and the extra ankle support, and the laces are long enough to wrap around through the back loop if I want more stability. BTFL, 12/10. I can’t say enough. Whoever you are, if you’ve looked at these skates more than once, please trust me when I tell you these are IMBECCABLE. ... show more

These are soooo soft and comfortable to wear. I actually really enjoyed the way they felt. The reason why i ultimately decided not to keep them was because I am a total beginner. Besides ice skating one time when i was 12, I have never been on any type of skates. I felt that because it was a such a soft boot that it wouldn't provide me the necessary support and protection that I would need as a learner. The wheels are very smooth so I had a difficult time trying to balance with them and just overall control. Maybe if i get really good I will repurchase this. ... show more

I used to be an avid skater and it’s been a while since I’ve gone to the rink. The skates look exactly like the picture: good quality genuine leather suede and the wheels are pretty. These were fine right out of the box and wearing these skates made it easy to transition back on the floor seamlessly. These wheels offer a smooth ride with a little bit of resistance (hardness is under 90A). I will change my wheels to 90A when I feel more comfortable and confident with my skating. The boot is comfortable and I was able to adjust the truck for maneuverability and the toe stop is also adjustable. To my surprise, a tool for adjusting the truck and toe stop was included in the box (not mentioned in the specs and not made for removing skate wheels). I had ordered a tool for around $7 not knowing that one came in the box, but it can be used take the wheels off so you’ll need to order a separate tool anyway. Overall, it’s a great skate for all types of skaters. I look forward to hours of skating in these. I did a lot of research before buying and these skates hit all the marks that the experts recommended. (I didn’t have the skates and tool with me when I wrote this so I’ll take pictures and will post them shortly.) ... show more

Have been wearing these skates for a month now. Probably logged about 60 hours in them and they are great!! I have a bunions so I needed a wider skate to accommodate. These required no break in time. They are super comfortable. They’re my first pair of skates so I can’t compare others as far as performance goes but I did buy a couple of other brand skates and had to return them. The boot was so stiff it was painful. This boot is suede and very pliable. I’m a beginner and I’ve been really happy with how these perform, the speed or the wheels, the hardness of the wheels, etc. I have loosened the trucks once to support more maneuverability. If you’re new to skating and looking for some tutorials, look for DirtyDeborahHarry on YouTube. She is fantastic!! ... show more
