I wear a size 10 wide and I always buy Brooks Ghost but I decided to try these ghosts which are water resistant. I bought size10 they do not come in wide or narrow; the only problem I had was they fit tight across the top above the toes because there’s a piece of material sewn so water could not get through. I had to loosen the shoe strings a bit in order to fit better and not put pressure on top of my foot. Only worn a couple of weeks so I think it’s stretching out. I got into the Brook shoes Ghost series of shoes nearly a decade ago and only tried another brand ones that people were talking about. After about six weeks of wearing the other brand I donated those shoes to the poor and bought another pair of Ghost shoes. Ghost 15s have a nice roomy toe box just right for my foot. I love my Brooks Ricochet 3s - they're comfortable and amply cushioned in the sole. Although happy with those I was looking for a waterproof shoe I can wear for my daily walks in the Pacific Northwest with that same level of comfort. I can barely feel any cushion with these when I tried on and walked around the house. Took out the inserts of both this pair and the Ricochet 3s to compare; there was hardly any give with this Ghost 15 pair. If they were less expensive I'd be tempted to keep them just to see how my feet feel over time, but at this steep price, no way. I'm relatively new to running and wanted something that I could wear in wet and cold weather. I wore them for the first time in snow the other day, stepped in a couple shallow puddles, and my feet were still dry. I don't have any injuries or conditions that require extra support, so these have just the right amount of cushioning for me. I had a little discomfort in my arches the first few times I used them, but it went away once I broke them in. The traction pods work well too. I just wish the laces were a bit longer, because sometimes there isn't enough length to tie them as securely as I'd like, or if I can tie them securely, they're a bit tight. ... show more

I am a seventy-three year old runner. I began falling all the time. Then, one day I accompanied a friend with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s to the orthopedic shoe store. They fitted me for these to run Brooks, Ghost 12. Up until then I had just bought the least expensive shoes. Well, I noticed my falling ended. I think because they are so light weight. If you have never tried the Ghost brand I encourage you to do it. They are worth it, for the support and comfort. I still like love running,at 73! Thanks Brooks, Ghost!
