Plug and play that’s it. Supports several controllers!!! I love it. I wont have to worry about what kind of controller it’s for anymore. If I like the controller I simply buy it along with this adapter if you dont have one(get one) and your good to go.

I bought this solely to use for this controller (best controller ever made) and it works perfectly fine. You can’t turn on/off the PS5 with this thing attached, and your controller wired….even in rest mode. So, if you want to get rid of your DualSense completely, you will have to hit the power button on your PS5 every time you want to play it. This shouldn’t be too much of a big deal for PS5 owners tho, because the DualSense battery life is so horrendous, their controller is usually plugged in or on a charging dock close to the console. Everything worked as intended, but I did have to do the update like it said, otherwise it wasn’t being recognized by the PS5. The installer is available for both Mac and Windows, I updated it on Mac and it took less than 2 minutes for the entire process to download/install/flash firmware/etc. would recommend to anyone who can’t stand how terribly Sony flubbed on the PS5 DualSense controllers….those things are terrible. ... show more

I bought this to replace the wide ps5 controller because I play claw and the ps4 controller is drastically better for call of duty. Honestly you can feel little to almost no delay but quick tip if you want to use this for fps games then lowering your sensitivity would make the delay almost non existent. It will due for now until Sony decides to make a ps4 controller remake for ps5. ... show more

I love this adapter. I hate using Sony controllers on FPS games the analog needs to be on the top left. I have been using xbox elite series 2 controller on this and it works flawlessly no lag no problems and super easy to set up. Best 60 dollars I have spent

    • Third party controllers on PS5!
The PS5 Dualsense is a great controller in many ways, but it often suffers from stick drift, the battery life is terrible, and it's expensive. There are a ton of great third party controllers that are cheaper, better, or just cater to different preferences. Except you can't use any of them, save for the Dualsense and a few overpriced "pro" controllers, because Sony says so. Until now! I'm using this adapter with a Flydigi Vader 4 Pro on the PS5 and it works great, despite that controller not appearing on Brook's list of officially supported controllers. With the V4P's USB dongle it effectively becomes a wireless PS5 controller, with buttons seemlessly mapped to their logical Dualsense counterparts (even the touchpad button and the PS home button!). The "Share" button doesn't seem to work, but I never use that anyway, and it might be possible to configure it with the free software (I haven't tried). I can't speak to longevity or reliability yet, but after a few days of use I have no complaints. ... show more

As the title says. I was only able to update the firmware, I wasn't able to access the device's software, though that's likely due to the old outdated laptop I used to install the firmware. I then was able to program the back buttons on the controller via the razer software from the windows store. It works with no lag at all from what I can tell, as good as a licensed ps5 controller! The headset jack on the controller won't work, but I think a wireless headset should do the trick, I have one on the way. So far I really like the product & highly recommend getting this if you'd like to use an Xbox controller on ps5. ... show more

Where to begin? This product I thought would never make it to us. I have been a huge fan of Brook gaming products ever since I discovered their product when I was playing on the PS4 and wanted to use my Elite V1 Xbox controller for the paddles and elevate my gaming. I got their adapter back then that worked flawlessly and thought I would never look back. When the PS5 released, that adapter worked on the console... recognizing the controller as a PS4 controller. Which meant that it wouldn't work when playing any PS5 game. Finally, that issue is no more. This adapter recognizes virtually any controller plugged into it as a DualSense controller. The only gripe and the reason for the 4* is because it advertises on their website that it works simply by plugging it into the USB port on the front of the console. Well, obviously that didn't think about the very first generation of PS5 consoles (I have had mine since launch day 2020.) It will NOT work on the front USB port of your console if you have owned it since launch day. I nearly tore my hair out trying to understand why it wouldn't work when another fellow reviewer here mentioned in his review that it would only work on one of the USB ports in the back of the unit. In desperation, I plugged it into the back and voila! It works! I'm a little frustrated but I can let that go. I finally have access to the Elite V2 controller in all of its glory on my PS5.
