I installed the blackout shade quite quickly, probably about 10 minutes or less in a rather large bedroom window. A good future package inclusion would be a razor cutter for cutting the fabric to size but I was not disappointed in what did arrive. It was so nice that they came with the Velcro adhesion so I didn’t need to buy anything to get them hung properly. They look good when hung also, not at all what I expected. Very happy with these. I wanted these to cover the windows in a vacant room facing the west side of my home. They're not very thick, but one side is black and the other is a silver finish which helps block sunlight. We got this to go in one of the windows in the RV. Because of the way things are set up, the bottom part of one of the windows needed to be covered and we needed blackout curtains for it. This was perfect for what we needed. It was easy to cut to fit and very easy to install it. Comes with plenty of Velcro pieces that stick well! I got this as a temporary thing but now that it's up, I'm actually happy with it and will probably just leave it up. This is super versatile and would be great for travel too! This is an excellent product, and it keeps my room SO much cooler when it's hot out. I used to sit in my room and sweat, but since installing this my room has been much cooler and I hardly feel the need to turn down the AC. It definitely does its job, the only thing I will say is that if you're looking for something aesthetically pleasing from the outside of your home, this probably won't be for you. The silver part isn't very cute from the outside, but this doesn't bother me. Also, the sticky pads it comes with don't seem to adhere very well to the window frame and wall. It's fallen a couple of times and I've used multiple of the sticky pads to keep it up. This isn't a huge deal for me as I can easily find a different way to stick it up, and it's not that time consuming to fix it when it does fall. ... show more

Wanted something in my kids room that they would not tug on because they’re little I have had issues with hanging curtains in the room and this idea is amazing love that it came with the hook and loop adhesive to put on the window. You can’t even see it because the frame is white. The room is completely blacked out its silver on one side and black on the other.
