    • Could Stick a Little Better But Not Bad

I bought this tape to use on just a few of my Mizuno JPX EZ irons. Adding a little weight gives them the feel of the forged set of the same name. Extra weight helps to create just a little more crisp of a shot. I had some trouble getting it to stick at first but over some time I figured out a way to get it to adhere a little better. The shape of the cavity back on the irons is such that there is not a lot of gripping area to get the tape to stick. I had tried shoving four or five pieces down closer to the sole of the club, but they ended up just coming lose and eventually falling out. I ended up sticking them a little higher up over the raised area behind the face that you would think would be even more difficult to adhere too. But the trick was to use something to press the tape into the area so it could make as much contact as possible. I used a wooden tee for this and it seemed to work real well. Once I got the first piece to stick it gave me more area for the remaining pieces which I would overlap just a little each time. I have practiced many times and been on the course a few times as well and so far it is staying put. That said, the placement is not ideal and I used some tape previously that was a little tackier and managed to stick to the area I preferred so I could not give this five stars. However, if you have club with a flat back or some other area where the tape can make good contact, it will likely work just fine so I would not hesitate to purchase this product if that is the case. ... show more
