The water is purified, which is something I prefer. It tastes good! Most important to me, is that is comes in environmentally better packaging, not perfect, but much better. And, that is a good thing! I do wish it came in bigger containers, the same wax coated paper container, but bigger. (One step at a time - right?) The best thing would be if these companies that put beverages together figured a way to just let us pour from large vats and pay for the amount of product rather than the packaged product. Was very excited to receive this! I've purchased single Boxed Waters from stores in the past and always enjoyed them. My wife and I decided to try out the 1 Liters as they were perfect to grab on the way out the door for work each morning. When our box arrived, everything was very secure and there were no damaged waters (something I've seen in other reviews, but everything here was extremely well put together and shipped). Not only do I personally think the 1 Liter is the best tasting, I just love what Boxed Water stands for! Down with plastic bottles! Would definitely recommend! ... show more

    • Great bottled water replacement
Real nice way to get packaged water. The taste is like any purified water. The ph is on the lower end so it has a different taste than what comes out of the tap and definitely different from spring water. It also collapses so it doesn't take up much room in the bin. My main gripe with the product is the amount of packaging the cartons come in. It feels like twice as much as necessary and is almost wasteful. The saving grace is that it's all cardboard, so it can be recycled. ... show more

I love this water! I love the company's mission and concern for the environment. It is a sustainable option to using plastic and if you care anything about the planet you should try Boxed Water is Better! I'd suggest that you chill it for two days, get it very cold, room temperature is ok. The manufacture's packaging is awesome. It has a suggested best by date and fragile sticker on it. I appreciate those details. However, the amazon box that it was sent in, had nothing on it to advise the courier. The additional box was wasteful and it didn't have the fragile sticker; luckily it wasn't damaged ... show more

    • eight of the twelve cartons had slow leaks.
The water itself was fine, the cartons were not "waterproof" however. Upon receipt one carton was leaking (okay, I would accept that). 48 hours later, just sitting on a shelf seven more were leaking. Having environmentally friendly packaging is great, but it can't be inferior!

I was eager to get these BOXED WATERS. I find them to be very convenient to travel with and economical. I Reclaim them ny using them to make reflectorsbfor my plants and cut them open and tape them togher to make shade for my plants. I also use the to clean paint brushes when doing arts and crafts.
