This pan is SO much better than my Pyrex baking dishes. I got this to replace one that shattered. So here's what happened. I made a casserole in my Pyrex and when it was done I set it on my granite countertop, like I always do. I'd just wiped down the counter so it was a little damp and when I set the pan down it shattered. I'm not talking a little crack, I'm talking 💥💥. Needless to say, dinner was ruined and I wasn't happy. Before buying another glass baking dish, I did some research and found out that the Pyrex today is not your Grandma's Pyrex. After 1998, instead of using borosilicate glass they started using tempered soda-lime glass. Unfortunately, that type of glass doesn't handle heat as well as borosilicate glass does, which is why mine shattered when it went from a hot oven onto a damp countertop. Thank goodness I've never tried to take the Pyrex from the freezer to the oven. 😬 I don't even want to think about what could've happened there. 😬 I chose this pan specifically because it's made with high quality advanced borosilicate glass. I've put this pan to the test to see if it really is as good as it says it is. I took it straight from the freezer to the oven, freezer to microwave, microwave to oven and oven to wet countertop. Let me tell you, it passed all of the tests with flying colors. This is one sturdy and well made glass dish. The glass is thicker than all of my other glass dishes. It cooks evenly and keeps the food warm when out of the oven. I love that the handles go down the entire end of the pan, instead of just a 3 or 4 inch handle. It makes it easier to get in and out of the oven, freezer, fridge or microwave. It also cleans up wonderfully in the dishwasher. I'm going to be replacing my Pyrex dishes, so I'll definitely be ordering more. ... show more

I just received the baking dish today. I am using it at a church potluck tomorrow so I will see if it holds up to handling and heat. Looks lovely and has an excellent weight to it.

This size of baking dish is awesome!!! I use this style & size of baking dish for so many different foods...lasagna, brownies, cakes, casseroles, marinading meats, general prep dish for grilling, etc. The list goes on & on.... It is a really practical & functional size and shape. I definitely prefer using glass dishes over metal dishes ...with using glass, I don’t have to worry about harmful chemicals leaking into my food from metal containers. It can go from freezer to oven. This is a very nice, heavyweight dish with thick walls and feels very durable. The glass conducts heat well in the oven for even baking.... which is another reason I prefer glass over any other type of container for these foods. Being glass, it cleans quite easily. I would buy this again if I need more. This would also make a very nice gift for a bridal shower or a wedding because I believe every household should have a few nice baking dishes like this one♥️ ... show more

I have only used this 9''X13" borosilicate glass Bovado baking dish once to bake a cake, so cannot speak to it's durability, but it performed well and cleaned up easily. I like the heft of the dish and the handles on the ends make it easy to remove hot from the oven with potholders. A number of other reviewers rated this dish much lower as theirs broke in half when removing it from the oven, so I was a little hesitant to buy it from this American company. My other Borosilicate glass baking dishes are made in Europe (Simex company) and I have been very pleased with their durability & quality. I will change my review in 6 months or so if this Bovado baking dish does not prove to be just as durable and of the same high quality. ... show more

I've had this maybe 2 months now, in the middle of washing it fell apart in half, as smooth as butter. Will last you a lifetime it says, can withstand rapid temperature changes, it said. I can assure you my oven gets hotter than my tap water can, this is ridiculous.

I am actually using these to feed an outdoor kitty colony. Fits 6 compostable bowls perfectly and can seal up the top to transfer home for cleaning. These are great.
