This stuff smells so good. I used it on my babies 40 years ago, and I've used it on myself ever since. It just stands to reason that if I can tell a difference in the way my own skin irritations feel when I use it, I know it has to be better for baby's skin than other products too. It's really miraculous the difference it makes. I've tried the extra strength version in red packaging, but the extra strength version doesn't have that wonderful smell. And it doesn't really work any better than the original anyway. Soothes sunburn and other minor burns. I'm no stranger to sunburn, and I have tried many products over the years to relieve it. My husband hates the smell but I think it's earthy and plesant. Regardless, he lets us keep buying it because I'm telling you, nothing will grow on your baby with this. My baby has a bit of yeast and when I use this cream I don't have to use her prescription cream. If I use the desitin I do. It's also gentle on her skin and doesn't cause breakouts. This jar lasted the entirety of my daughter's babyhood. She did go to daycare, so you if have your baby at home, it might not last as long. I noticed that she calmed down when I applied this, so I can only assume it was a comfortable lotion on her, and I used it preventatively, not just when I saw redness. Same thing being used for years. Don't waste your time with other butt paste for your kids just get this your babies will thank you with tiny lightening fast slaps to the face of happiness. We tried aquaphor butt paste and some other brand that I don't remember (we got them in a baby shower gift thing) those don't do anything compared to the magic that's in these tubes. ... show more
