    • Great pot still. Pump needs improving
The copper elbow for the boiler lid was missing. This is a good stainless steel pot still. It works quite well. Two issues needing improvement: 1. The condenser cooling pump is rubbish. It worked intermittently then quit altogether, so I decided to just use a garden hose to run through the condenser. 2. The thumper needs a thermometer. As this is a secondary condensing unit, the vapor temperature here matters. Some of the bulkhead fittings need to be tightened, but altogether this is a good value. Purchasing the parts separately at hardware would cost significantly more. ... show more

    • Lid doesn’t clamp down
Lid has 4 clamps and steam at 215 degrees blew the lid off and nearly caused severe injury to my spouse. Thank goodness he had just leaned his head back to look at something else. Lid should have more than 4 small clamps for as large as it is.
