Description

Experience high-quality sound — without headphones. That’s the magic of Bose Frames Tempo: high-performance sport sunglasses with a revolutionary Bose Open Ear Audio design that allows you to hear your music and your surroundings at the same time for a workout unlike any other. There are two specially designed Bose speakers embedded in the temples to produce sound that’s louder and deeper than other audio sunglasses. And whether they’re your running sunglasses or cycling shades, Open Ear Audio design (nothing in or on your ears) frees you from headphones so you can stay aware of your surroundings — traffic, pedestrians, whatever you’re up against. With a sweat- and weather- resistant design, a lightweight, aerodynamic nylon frame, and soft, silicone nose pads (three options included for the best fit), Bose sport sunglasses are designed for comfort and performance. And they’re not only sport sunglasses with polarized lenses, they’re also scratch- and shatter-resistant with a VLT of 12%, ideal for most sports. Plus, they’re interchangeable. Additional polarized lenses, like Road Orange (VLT 20%) and Trail Blue (VLT 28%), are available for other sports and lighting conditions. Bose sport sunglasses play up to eight hours at a time, include an advanced mic system for clearer calls and access to Siri and Google Assistant, and are prescription (Rx) ready. It’s the sound you expect from Bose with everything you need from sport Bluetooth sunglasses. Compatible with the Bose Music app for simple setup, access to future software updates, and ability to personalize your settings for your Bose sport sunglasses. OD852489.

  • Bose knock it out of the park!
Style: Glasses Color: Black
I'm not a Bose fan in any shape or form, but I know they make great quality products and I was looking for a solution to simplify my road running down to not having earphones and sunglasses, and being able to hear traffic as I run early in the morning, down in Florida ( not great drivers ) I found myself feeling a little disconnected from my surroundings while wearing my apple AirPods ( still wear them in the gym ) so took a chance on the Bose Tempo...WOW! They fit very well, sound quality is great for most things and especially great for voice/audible books etc but not so great for bass-type music. I listen to electronic dance music while running and the bass is weak, not super bad, but nowhere as good as my Apple AirPods I have to say. I've accepted the bass is not amazing and I just love these things, great lenses ( I purchased orange lenses and clear for varied running conditions ) build quality is first class, very nice hard case, and the look and feel is very nice and subtle I think. The huge win for me is the battery life, I can run 4 x week for 2 weeks on 1hr + runs each time and the battery level will still only say 60%...I never expected the battery to last that long and also it charges within a few hours. Connection to iPhone once I downloaded the Bose Music App took seconds, connects every single time with a ting tap of a button on the glasses. These Bose Tempo sunglasses are very well designed and thought out and although not cheap, i'd say they are worth the extra spend. Would I buy again...Oh, yeah..love em! Update: 9/8/22 After running many times in the frames, I do not like them at all, with just a little external wind, you can't hear a thing and I really miss the bass when listening to running music. I run in Miami, so super hot and these things feel like they trap sweat and don't allow much airflow, as they hug the head very tightly. I'm disappointed and it's too late to return them, so I'll have to use them for driving, as they work well for that or general cycling, but stay away if you want to run in them. ... show more

  • Good enough sound with very tight fit
Style: Glasses Color: Black
As a background, I usually use closed-back Sony MDR1A with FIIO E10 or open-back Focal Clear with Mojo. I love combining outside walking (~12KM a day) with music. I decided to give this a try as I usually walk and use over-ear headphones and the days became pretty hot. I hate in-ears because I hear a boom every step I make, and do not like the on-ears as it hurts my ears after walking for two hours) This could have been easily an amazing product... If you set your expectations right then the sound is good. The bass is not like in a full set of headphones but is still very enjoyable. Definitely good enough for me to not use the over-ears even though I appreciate the quality of sound. You need to understand that when walking outside you will never get the same quality anyways as you would have in a quiet room due to the noises you can expect from the environment. I am even willing to pass the fact that the sunglasses look a little bulky. The real problem is the comfort. As many have already mentioned it is a very tight fit. I decided to keep them as for me the discomfort from the fit was less than the discomfort of over-ear headphones making my ears sweat like a pig when walking outside on a sunny day. I saw some people writing they left the sunglasses overnight with something stretching which helped. I will try it out but for this price, it should arrive from the factory in a perfect fit or at least adjustable or that you could buy different sizes. One size definitely does not fit all... I will keep them and use them in the summer days but they could have easily designed them better so I would love to make them my all-day-long glasses. I cannot see myself wearing them for more than an hour or two a day. ... show more

  • Excellent sound
Style: Glasses Color: Black
Pros: The sound and lens coverage are great. Cons: Sizes run small and there aren't really any size options. Additionally, the sport glasses don't wrap around the ear or even have malleable tips on the last inch or two inches of the temple. They also need to be pushed up relatively frequently because there aren't really any options to adjust the fit. ... show more

  • Top
Style: Glasses Color: Black
I bought these primarily for running and that is really when they get the most use. They stay in place and sound great. People around me don't even realize I am listening to music, but I can still clearly hear them. Think of having the ability to play your own movie soundtrack while you live your life. Took stars from comfort because after a while I start to notice the pressure on the sides of my head more, would be awesome if the incorporated PitViper-like adjustable temples. Great glasses, not recommended for poker games. ... show more

  • Almost really good
Style: Glasses Color: Black
I love what these sunglasses allow me to do. It really is a new product class that offers a huge convenience and actually safety because you can hear the things around you when running biking, etc. The biggest problem is that the frame is made of a slippery plastic and when you try to wear them above your eyes like you can do with almost any other pair of sunglasses, they easily slip down. I have found this to be very annoying, and it's the only reason why I would not give them 5 stars. If they would just use a better build material these glasses would be perfect. ... show more

  • Amazing - just too large for my small face
Style: Glasses Color: Black
Everything on these was superb! Sound - check. Tint - check. Ease of use - check. The only issue I had was the size of the glasses going across my face. I have a small head already, so putting these on went about an inch each side past my face. I tried putting on a different nose piece, and that didn't help. Take away the size problem, they were a wonderful purchase and something I'd be using right now during my runs. If you got a normal size or bigger sized face, you will love these. Much better than the cheaper versions. It is worth the extra money. ... show more

  • very nice with the best options
Style: Glasses Color: Black
very nice pair of hands free glasses , very comfortable , however the instructions I was able to get to use them left a lot to be desired , there was more useless info in the safety booklet than there was online for how to use them ,seems like no one is able to give out a good instruction manual these days ,assuming everyone wants to go to utube for advice , not a fan ... show more
