Description

The Bosch GLL40-20G Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser projects visible green laser lines, which are up to 2X brighter than standard red beams. The tool has a working range of up to 40 feet and offers reliable accuracy of +5/16 in. at 30 feet. It features Bosch-exclusive VisiMax™ technology, which monitors tool temperature and power consumption to deliver the brightest line for the job, optimized energy efficiency and long-term tool reliability. The cross-line laser is also equipped with a Smart Pendulum System allowing for automatic self-leveling and indication of out-of-level condition, as well as pendulum lock for safe tool transport. The included MM 2 Flexible Mounting Device provides a rotating 360 degree neck for quick setup and simple fine-tuning allowing for the laser to be clamped onto virtually any surface from 1/2 to 2-1/4 inches thick.

I got this for some DIY shelves on my TV wall. I was tired of using a tape measure, level, and constantly alternating between the two. This product took care of that. Very simple to use. The green laser is immediately visible even in bright sunlight and it allows for an easy to read section for installation. The only drawback is that it's very fidgety if it's not at the exact height. Used the laser level extensively for a big walk in shower tile job. Pretty intuitive to use and manage with the right tripod(s). I used a small flexible gorilla pod for near the floor to get low level lines on the wall and a taller tripod I’ve used for photography on the taller level lines. Really made the project move smoothly versus having to use a 2 or 4’ level to constantly check level across rows of tiles as well as vertical lines for bullnose finishing tile. ... show more

It doesn't have a mode where you can decide which line to use, you always have to have both lines on at all times. And the horizontal line range is so short compared to other non 360 lasers I have used. One thing I did like it was that the laser lines are really bright and thin.
