    • Unlike the BOSCH brake pads, no hardware (or lube) included. Not exclusive to BOSCH
The shoes appear solid, but then, all brake shoes I have purchased do. This shoe like all others does not include the simple little c clips or horseshoe clips that you really should have to do a good brake job. Reusing the old ones is just not worth it. NAPA has a pack of 4 for $1.29, you need all four for a 2009 Toyota Tacoma. Brake shoes actually do a pretty poor job of braking. I have not found the OE any better or worse than BOSCH, Wagner, Centric.... Not sure why Toyota continues to use them but they do and why I have great components on the front since they do at least 75% of the braking. If BOSCH or other shoe manufacturers supplied the clips, they would get 5 stars. I am sure they could throw in four at a cost of about 5 cents, a cheap price to get 5 stars. ... show more

    • Good quality bonded shoes
Easy change-out except for 1 thing - the grooved stud that anchors one end of the bottom shoe link was over-sized, probably from installation of the stud by peening the backside. Had to enlarge the hole in the link to make it fit. Not a huge deal, but added 30 minutes to the job. BTW-brakes work fine, after the automatic adjusters did their job and proper shoe to drum clearances were achieved. Take pics b4 removing old shoes ! ... show more

    • Good shoes, but the shoes are all you get with this. No other hardware included.
These are good brake shoes so far. My only gripe is this product is just the brake shoes. It does not even include the bare minimum horse shoe clips needed to do a brake job. You will need to buy at least four of these clips if not an entire brake drum service kit with all new springs, clips and slides. I have switched to all Bosch brake parts on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma after having issues with squealing from other brands. Bosch so far has been excellent with good stopping power and no squealing. ... show more

    • Decent brake shoes.
Yes, they are brake shoes, they fit my application and seem to be doing what they are supposed to do - stop (that's a good thing). Keep in mind that these DO NOT COME WITH HARDWARE. I know that some do, but make sure you have a hardware kit if you plan on buying them.
