  • Performance
It provided great sound and better performance

  • So Awesome!
I bought it and had it put on at the local shop. It sounds so amazing on my automatic 2010 SS Camaro. No regrets besides wishing I had done it sooner. This product is for a camaro without the ground effects package. Do it! It's worth it!

  • It will fit 2012. Amazon "Garage" feature is wrong.
I put this on my 2012 2SS/RS without Ground effects. I originally had done what they call "Muffler Delete" this is where they put in stainless pipe where the 2 rear mufflers existed. That sounded good accelerating and at idle, but would drone alot at cruising speeds. So I decided on this system. I went with this over the S-Type system because the note is higher -or- raspier. It is still pretty Muscle Car sounding, but does not have that Boat sound that I dislike. The B&B Bullet on my vette had that which I later changed to an NXT system. The tips are much nicer than stock which you can barely see from behind with any Exhaust soot which was more prevalent with the Muffler Delete. Installation was pretty easy. I sprayed a little WD40 on the Hangars prior to removing the old system. I did mine with Ramps a floor jack and jack stands. I left the Jack in there along with the Jackstands out of pure paranoia of the car dropping on me... I would say removing and installing was about 2 hours. I would have taken it to be done because it only would have been $100-150 for install, but I needed ramps anyways and it was the weekend and I just couldn't wait to try it out. Very happy with the look and sound. It is not as loud as the Muffler delete. It is louder than stock especially when getting on it. Cruising it is pretty quiet, so it Growls on command. Update: Found that the AFM (Auto Fuel Management) will sometimes Drone it some. This was the Real Heavy Drone I was hearing with the Muffler Delete Mod. I also hear it with this system too, but it is far less noticeable. It is when the Engine kicks to 4 Cylinder mode while Cruising to save gas. It will happen at various RPM's and goes away with just a little Gas. If you are in Manual using the Paddle shifters the AFM Never kicks in and this Slight Drone note never happens. Not a Fault with the Muffler system, just a byproduct of the AFM on the Camaro. I guess you can get the AFM disabled with a Tune. Still love this System and Recommend it over the Muffler Delete if you like a Raspier Exhaust Tone. I bought one of the DiabloSport Predator Tuners and this allowed me to Turn Off the AFM or DOD as it is called on the Diablo Sport. With that Off the Camaro no longer goes into AFM/DOD (4 Cylinder Mode) and there is Zero Drone, so it was the 4 Cylinder mode that causes the Note I was hearing... Now She Screams when accelerating and has a Nice Exhaust Note when Cruising. ... show more

  • Dear Shopper...
Hey shopper, I bought this Borla Atak Catback exhaust system 11 months ago for my 2010 Camaro SS (Automatic). Today, I will say that it was well worth every penny. This exhaust is very loud when you floor it in first gear in paddle shift mode. Make no mistake about it, it’s loud when you get on it period. I’ve gotten many compliments on how good and deep it sounds. You’ll definitely get some crackles, pops, and burbles with this exhaust. I once was having a little fun on the highway and some guy manage to catch up to me once I completely let off and started driving normally and said “Dude I love your Camaro! It’s sounds AMAZING!!” (This is only with the exhaust only modification to my Camaro) My co workers say they hear me ripping the streets from a couple blocks away. I woke my stepmother up while pulling in first gear at 12 AM. I will say, I’ve gotten used to how this exhaust sounded after a while and wanted to sound much louder. So, I receive Kooks 1 7/8 headers last night to get them installed within a month on a free weekend. If you’re looking to install headers with this Borla Atak Catback exhaust, you will be extremely loud! My friend has the exhaust setup I’m doing to my car. You won’t regret this purchase, I promise! ... show more

  • Great System
Put this on a 2010 SS Camaro. This will wake up the car and make it sound like it looks. Be aware that if you have the factory ground effects on the car, this particular part number will not fit. You will need to order the one specifically made for the factory ground effects, as the larger tips on this one will not fit into the exhaust cutouts in the ground effects. I overlooked this tiny product note, but I ended up cutting the old tips off the old exhaust and the tips off the new one, and welding the old tips on. Talked with Borla's product support and they said it would not void the warranty. This was an easier fix for me rather than sending it all back since I already had the rest of the exhaust fitted and on the car. With all that said, this is a quality product. Have put several exhaust kits on various vehicles and this is by far the best made. The clamps are super heavy duty and seal very nice. Just an awesome system. After installing this, I also added a set of BBK long tube headers and high flow catalytic converters to complete it all. This ATAK will give you a nice rumble without being loud at cruise, but if you want your ride to breath fire, add the headers and cats. ... show more

  • Is it worth it?
I bought this and installed it in February and I have to say it was worth every penny. Setup was easy and took a few hours, removing the old stock exhaust system was far harder than installing this new one. Also to note, when you initially start it up and rev it; it may sound quieter/no difference than the stock exhaust with a muffler delete. My stock exhaust had a muffler delete and the sound was about the same with the muffler delete being slightly louder. However, once all the factory oils in the Borla leaves the system it’ll get louder. Using it since February, I’ve noticed it actually got louder a month later in my case. Worth for the buy, louder than the Stock muffler delete and sounds way better not just louder. It’s a great tone overall :) ... show more
