Ok this is not an easy project. The instruction manual is confusing and hard to read, and some wood pieces are rather thin and need to be removed very carefully. The overall architecture is very well done however. It's a surprising complex structure inside with varying side window sizes to increase the depth perception. The clock is the back elegant. A quick advice. If you sand down the wood connectors a bit, it's a lot easier to put them together and you have less chance of breaking anything. We painted some pieces with gold accent and it greatly improves the look. The light switch design is rather clever. All in all we got a high degree of satisfaction having finished this. ... show more

I bought this for my wife. The kit is beautifully executed. The instructions are easy to follow and intuitive. I really like the inductive light switch. It is a small as but it's super neat. Kit does not include adhesive. I highly recommend adding CA glue (super glue) to your order to make it work.

I've always wanted a book nook but never had the time to do one. Well, I just had throat surgery and had to be in bed for about a week so I thought this was the perfect time to keep my mind occupied when I wasn't resting. It was so easy to assemble and the peices were strudy. The directions were easy to read and understand. The quality is great. The glue included was very durable as well.     • Wall is bent, holes don't butt up well.

You do have to buy your own glue, and sometimes the parts are so small that the glue gets on your hands and it's really uncomfortable.Halfway through the assembly, I realized that one of the walls was bent and the drilled holes were in the wrong place. This made it difficult to put together, and the parts were poorly machined so they didn't always line up. I tore up several parts trying to get them to line up, and now I can't even put the back one on because it won't line up. All the book stickers had to be trimmed and the instructions were a little hard to follow. It's really bad and I don't think this is a recommended purchase. ... show more

I love doing these, and this one was no exception but with a few exceptions. Some of the pieces are super thin and can easily snap and break if you're not careful. Then some pieces didn't fit as snuggly as they should and ended up needing to be glued in order for them to stay put. My frustration level was high and I nearly lost my temper and head with this one, but overall it turned out beautiful when it was complete, so it may have been worth it. ... show more

I have made a lot of book books. This one was easy and fun. The directions were easy to follow and clear. I loved the fact that doing the wiring for the lights was really easy. Other book books never have enough wire and the directions are not clear. This one, I had plenary of wire and it was easy. I was able to put the on/off switch where it belonged. I've bought a few of these and this one is the absolute best one I've made. The pieces are made well and fit together perfectly, the instructions are written very well. It even has an awesome hatch for the battery in back and a dust cover which made it look even better.
