Such a cute idea for a goodie bag. However, I ordered 32 of these, and only 13 of the pens worked (the light). EDIT: After leaving this review the seller reached out to trouble shoot and wanted to replace the order. The event I needed them for had passed so they actually refunded me for both boxes even though I had handed out the pens that did work. Excellent customer service. The message they sent also said there is a way to get all the pens working, though I did not get a chance to try it: “Please be advised that the pens are not working because the batteries have not made contact with each other. But don't worry, this can be solved. To do so, follow these steps and your pens will work properly. 1- Re-insert the white plate and make circular movements with it, trying to move the batteries slightly. 2- Remove the white tape and check that the pens work correctly.” ... show more

First of all, the product was fun, kids love it. HOWEVER, even with reading all these reviews. I still didn't imagine there are so many broken ones. For my thirty two pieces pack, 8 of them does not work. And this is after I did what they told us to realign the battery. The media could not be loaded. I cannot believe the amount o defective pens I received.. I really did not want to test them out considering the pens have battery saving tabs. However, I decided to test them because of negative reviews. Thank goodness I did! 8 pens didn't turn on at all! 3 kept flashing wouldn't stay on so will prob give out soon. Seriously, the quality is that of a dollar tree item. It would have been a disaster had I given these to kids. I have requested a replacement but considering the amount of defective pens I wouldn't be surprised if I'm faced with the same issue. These seemed really cool and my daughter was excited about it but we're extremely disappointed we may not be able to gift these. Upate: 2nd box worse than the 1st! 7 pens completely dead, 1 pen flashes on and off, 3 good lights with 2 ink dried up 1 didnt even come with ink and 5 completely working. 5! Out of 16.. What am supposed to do with that? And why so many great reviews?Something quite odd about that.. I also took several videos of dead lights, working lights with dry ink, and the 5 working with bright ink, however, I am only allowed to submit 1 video which I had wait 20min to upload. Update: seller reached out and sent a 32 pack said that the 2 I had to return were probably bad batches and promised this set would be perfect. I waited until today to test them out because we hand them out last day of school.. 14 pens were dried out. 8 pens with dead lights. I would purchase the notebooks if sold separately but do not recommend this seller bc often amount of defective pens. The positive reviews either were due to customer service attempt to make things right or these sets are being handed out with out verifying that they all work. Maybe some are fortunate idk but had I been sent 16pack instead of 32 I wouldn't have enough complete sets to hand out for the party. I also had to purchase pens to add to the notebooks and opted for pens with switch buttons instead... out of 20 only 2 didn't work. No dried out pens either. The notebooks are exactly what the pictures show and not a press on. Some of the pens didn't work right away but the seller told me how I can fix them. I was able to get all of the pens to work. I'm excited to see the kids' faces when they get to write hidden messages!!

These are super cutie and the kids love them. However, some don’t work. I bought two different packs, unicorn and dinosaurs. They are for a birthday party and based on the reviews prior, I thought I’d test them out before the party. All the unicorn ones were fine but I did have issues with 5-6 of the dinosaur ones. After inspection I discovered that most of them involved the light not working. I ended up noticing that the spring inside was off preventing the batteries from making a connection. I ended up using a paper clip to get inside the slot and pushed the spring into place and now they work. I only had one marker that was completely dried out. Overall, I would purchase again but the seller should be aware of the issue so they may address the issue. If I had more of these that were dried out I would have sent them back since there is no way I could fix that issue. ... show more
