Description

With BONES HardCore Bushings, you will notice a number of positive improvements in the performance of your trucks. There is no break-in period. Just put them in, adjust and skate. Your trucks will be more responsive and your skating will improve. The HardCore insert in the center of BONES bushings connects the two sides of each bushing together by bonding them to the HardCore insert. When the hanger web squeezes one side of a HardCore bushing, that side of the bushing reacts just like a normal bushing, but the chemical bond between the HardCore and the cushion keep the bushing from being squeezed out the other side. It actually increases the resistance to turning because it is held in place by the HardCore insert. This means basically that BOTH sides of the BONES HardCore Bushing are resisting your turning force. That’s why we call BONES Bushings the first double action truck bushings.

  • Great For Big Skaters
Size: Durometer: 96A (Hard) Color: White
In short, buy them if you're a bigger skater. Now, I'll get into it in detail. I skated a lot in my teens and early twenties, and then I quit for four years after having my first kid. A few months ago, I decided to hop on a board again, but I was 100 pounds heavier than I was the last time. My old bushings were still in good shape, but I got horrible wheel bite anytime I did anything besides cruising around and rolling over ramps I was chucked off a few times just from landing after playing around on a manny pad. I popped these bad boys into my trucks, and I'm back to doing tricks with ease. I bought the hard variant because I knew I needed the hardest bushings possible, and I can't begin to describe how smooth these feel despite my weight. They don't squeak, I don't get wheel bite unless I'm intentionally leaning too far, and they reset to center pretty much immediately after my wheels leave the ground. Also, despite being hard and fully tightened, they turn incredibly well. I didn't even have to spend any time breaking them in. They immediately felt comfortable. I can see how they'd be a bad choice for the average skater, though. Unless you have the weight to naturally compress them when turning, you'll have a hard time getting them to turn. The average 145 pound skater would probably feel like their skating on rocks. I can't tell you if the soft and medium varieties handle that better. One thing that did disappoint me is that they're colored differently depending on softness, and that wasn't made clear in the description. I thought I was getting white and yellow (Which would match my setup really well), but I got white with black cores since I bought the hard ones. That's not a big deal, but it was a little bit of a bummer. All in all, if you weigh more than 200 pounds, I can't recommend these enough. They're all I'll be skating on unless I miraculously get fit again, and even then, I'd still buy from Bones due to how great these are. Smaller skaters should try the softer bushings, or they should go with something else entirely, though. ... show more

I’m 200lbs and the stock bushings in my tensor mag lights were way to soft. Even tightening them down did little and caused the bushings to bulge out and become disfigured. These bushing are very firm and handle my weight perfectly. Hopefully there’s no issues with quality as seen in some reviews. Also if your into a lightweight setup bones bushings w/ washer weighed in at .3 oz vs stock tensors w/ 2 cups .6 oz. Weights are per each truck ... show more

  • Good….
Size: Durometer: 96A (Hard) Color: Black
When I put both bushings in, my board had very little response for turning. You could lean as hard as you wanted but you’d barely turn. I came up with the idea of using my original bottom bushing and putting only the top hard bones bushing on top of that. I love it, I have a soft yet responsive turn with a hard/stiff undertone if that makes sense. Basically I have the softness and responsiveness of my bottom bushing, so when I turn really hard, my trucks don’t stay leaned. They snap right back to straight everytime. ... show more
