These wheels really do ride super smooth over rough terrain. they feel really nice however I have some issues that pertain to my style of riding. first, something that doesn't really matter or impact performance, is the wheel graphic, this will wear off VERY EASILY, so I hope you don't care about that. Second, this wheel is all grip even at 80A, this is a huge downside to me as i love to slide, these wheels do NOT kick out, they do NOT powerslide, they do NOT speed check, they just want to grip and any slide you kick out will skip as the wheels try to grip the road. My normal Duro for wheels is 80-86A and all of my other wheels will slide perfectly, but these? must be something in the formula. Bones should try to refresh the formula as a lot of my other 80A wheels have perfect grip and smoothness without compromising on the slide. Third, the core can make it REALLY hard to insert bearings without a press. we have all been there and these wheels will do the same, whatever they made the core from really does not like to come in contact with metal, it sticks to it. This could be a tolerance issue however all of these wheels I needed a bearing press to insert the bearings. ... show more

I like softer wheels to ride on city streets. These let you roll over cracks and small pebbles without issue. They are a little faster than my mini logo wheels, but don't grip as well. At the skatepark they glide, but don't slide.

If you're buying these wheels, you're probably trying to create a hybrid board that you can both use at the skate park and cruise more comfortably on the street. I put these wheels on my son's popsicle board. You can put these on probably without risers, but since it was for my son, and I didn't want to risk wheel bite, i put small risers under the trucks as well. Now he loves that he can cruise on it and still do tricks and slides. You can't ever go wrong with any bones wheels. They are just great wheels. You can probably find cheaper wheels, but these are great wheels. ... show more

When I first got my rough riders I was surprised. I never had soft wheels before. Swapped them out to see how they cruised and it was like riding on a hoverboard. 56mm is a great size for versatility while riding. Not to big and heavy to ollie on and off curbs and has fantastic acceleration when paired with a quality set of bearings. Do reccomend these for the more modern "popsicle" style deck. Not saying that they wont work on cruisers or longboards they just really shine on the pop deck ... show more
