So far, so good with a hard hitting, high energy 7 year old. We go to the river with rocks and sand and pebbles and they’ve held up to some good abuse so far. I must say I am a little disappointed in these boots. We live on a 20 acre wooded lot and my kids wear their rubber boots on a daily basis; exploring the woods, walking through the creek beds, mucking horse stalls, climbing stone piles... Needless to say, the $15.00 pair just weren't holding up. I was buying them new boots every 2-3 months. Seeing the Bogs advertised a lifetime guarantee, I bought a pair for each of my three kids. I even called the company and spoke to customer service to verify the lifetime guarantee before I purchased them just to double check I was understanding correctly. After all, they averaged $65 a pair. If I were going to shell out that much money for a pair of boots, I wanted to make sure they'd hold up. While my son's boots are currently holding up after 6 months of wear, my daughters' boots have not. After 2 months, my youngest daughter's boots had cracked across the top where her foot bends, and my older daughter's heels in her boots have worn through to the black inner rubber liner. I saved the boxes and the receipt, and I plan on sending the boots back to see if they will indeed be replaced. I'm going to find out just how strongly they stand behind their product. ... show more

My active 8 year old twin boys seem to destroy boots in weeks. I upgraded them to Bogs, and have been extremely satisfied with the durability, fit and function. My boys tell me they are as comfortable as their Keen shoes (more comfortable than Western Chief and other similar boots, which also crack at the seams and fall apart) and they prefer wearing them over their regular shoes. Their feet are warm and dry, and their pants stay dry when they tuck them into the boots (boots are perfect width: pants fit over top of boots or can be tucked in). ... show more

These boots are heavy duty and durable for my 6 year old grandson who is is hard on his boots. He wears them all day, everyday on the ranch.

A little heavy for the younger ones but son loves his Bogs, second pair and won't ever buy cheap ones these lasted him 2 years just bought them roomy. Wears camping in the summer too and held up well to his 8 year old abuse.

These are the ONLY rain boots that fit my son's extra wide foot. He can't wear the insulated version because they are too tight. Love that there is an antimicrobial insole too. I just wish his feet wouldn't sweat so much but I don't think any rain boot is going to prevent that (he sweats just wearing socks inside). Thank goodness I found a rain boot that fits! (And I have gone through MANY. He wears an 11 XW (little kid) in NB sneakers and the 11 in these boots were true to size. ... show more
