Description

The XPress is unequaled in value, versatility and efficient design. Rated a Best Buy by Consumer Guide®!Shape your body, get strong, lose weight, even improve your golf swing with the BodyCraft XPress Strength Training System. Shape your body, get strong, lose weight, and even improve your golf swing with the BodyCraft XPress Pro strength training system. The XPress Pro lets you perform a wide range of exercises, with stations for chest presses, shoulder presses, lat pulls, leg lifts, and more. The XPress Pro starts with a row/press arm that supports safe, machine- style bench presses, incline presses, shoulder presses, and seated rows. The leg extension/leg curl station, meanwhile, offers a convenient self-aligning feature that accommodates virtually any user. Add in the functional training/cable arms--which support more than 100 exercises--and you have a terrific gym for functional core training, sports-specific workouts, and rehabilitation exercises. Users will also appreciate the XPress Pro's series of pulleys, which includes a mid pulley for ab crunches and tricep extensions, a high pulley for lat pulldowns and tricep pushdowns, and a low pulley with a foot plate for low rows, leg and hip exercises, arm curls, upright rows, and more. The XPress Pro uses these pulleys and cables to deliver unrestricted, completely natural, biomechanically correct movements. You define the path, providing for a greater, more natural range of motion that incorporates the use of stabilizer and core muscle groups, an advantage not found on typical home gyms. Finally, the XPress Pro includes a 200-pound weight stack that can be doubled to 400 pounds when combined with the leg press, which is cabled at a 1:2 ratio. Construction features include 12-gauge steel tubing; flexible, nylon-coated aircraft cable rated at more than 2,000-pounds tensile strength; 4.5-inch-diameter, fiberglass-impregnated nylon pulleys with sealed ball bearings; 2-inch-thick high-density foam covered with double-stitched vinyl; chrome-plated 1-inch tubular steel guide rods; noise-dampening, perforated steel weight stack guards; and a platinum gray, powder-coated finish. The XPress Pro measures 56.5 by 83 by 82.9 inches (W x H x D) and comes with a lat pull bar, curl bar, ankle strap, and two single handles. It's also backed by a lifetime warranty.

  • 9 years and never a problem
I purchased this new from Amazon 2013. I use it 4 days a week, every week for the last 9 years. I started working out at age 46, late starter. My wife purchased a Health Ridder home gym that used body weight in 1998. She used it less than 10 times, I ended up using it 4 days a week for 2 years. I upgraded to a used Bowflex Blaze off of Craigslist the guy had been using only for a close rack. I was still uncertain as to my motivation to continue the workout program. 3 years later after using it faithfully I sold it and upgraded to a Bowflex Ultimate Two which I used continually until 2013. 2013 I sold the Bowflex and purchased the BodyCraft Xpress since I wanted a stacked weight type machine. The power rods are ok except they start at pretty much zero resistance and go to the marked weight amount at close to the end of the pull. I wanted to try the stacked weights giving me full resistance from the outset. Bringing me to date I have used the BodyCraft XPress for the last 9 years, 4 days a week. I am now 71 so my routine has changed some but not much however the dedication has paid off. The machine has many exercises you can do by the book and several you can make up on your own. Very EZ to arrange for whatever workout you have planned, change setup in 10 seconds. I have used a log since day one to keep me honest and track my progress, I suggest the same for anyone contemplating a workout program or having trouble staying motivated. They do sell an additional 5 lb weight that can be added to the machine. I noticed one review mentioned wishing they had such an item so evidently they are not aware of it being available. It's a great home gym and even better when used with dumbbells for a complete workout. I use the Bowflex 552 select-tech's. Great home gym, you will not be sorry. • Logistical info
You can get the exact dimensions on BodyCraft's web site. Box 1/3 75x22x8 133 lbs; Box 2/3 45x42x17 197lbs; Box 3/3 79x11x6 40lbs; Weight Plates 4 Boxes 5x10x5 ea. 190lbs total (3-50lbs, 1-40lbs). Greg at IncrediBody was kind enough to get this info for me prior to ordering from them. Once the boxes are opened; there is no single piece that is too heavy for an average guy. Before assembling; you may want to watch the DVD video in Box 3(see above). There are some exercises you perform from the side. I didn't know this. Once it's fully assembled; it would be a real pain to move it. As it turns out, I got lucky and have enough space on the sides. This thing is completely in parts. It took half a day to assemble. I took plenty of breaks. But yes, the first workout you get will be moving the boxes and assembling the thing! The instructions aren't the greatest and I believe there's an error when you get to the cable assembly diagram. You'll want to have a ratchet wrench or your build time will be significantly longer. One strange bolt is the allen bolt for the top of the weight stack - it's a size 8 (I think). That's very large for an allen wrench so you may not have one in the tool box. Most of the vendors only include curbside delivery. Greg at IncrediBody upgraded me to "inside" delivery for free:) Unfortunately, the delivery company would only bring it into the garage. They aren't insured to bring it in the house. I know you can tip the driver and they'll bring packages to a specific room but I doubt one man can carry the largest box #2. This delivery company (Road Runner), does not operate on weekends and the delivery window they gave me was like 4 hours. I didn't have anyone who could accept the package for me on a weekday so I asked the dispatcher if I could have 2 guys deliver it to my basement on a Saturday - and I'd be ok to pay them extra. Sure enough, it pays to ask. A day later, she found 2 guys who could do that for me. So I paid extra but it was well worth it. The gym itself is very nice as other reviewers have already mentioned. ... show more

  • Fit and Finish
I bought this whole gym back in 2009 and to be honest, I did not use it as much as I could have. I now go to a full gym and now prefer that experience. The BodyCraft Xpress Pro is a great value for its price. It is well built and strong. I have had "complete gyms" in the past which consisted of not much more than a bench press, so I found this setup to be great. It is a bit time consuming to put together, but not that hard. I put it together in about 3 hours. I have moved it twice, which now takes about an hour. For a home gym, it is one of the better quality systems and have never had to replace a part on it. Not sure why the one negative review mentions "cable replacement" problems. Should not really need to replace the cables unless you built it incorrectly, left it outside, or pinched a cable doing something wrong. I do not want to cast any doubt that the person needed to replace them, maybe he/she is a hardcore body builder and can tear up a machine like this. He/she might be best going to a gym now, but I digress. This is a fantastic machine, looks great, no slack and you will not be disappointed. ... show more
