Ok so I always wanted faux locs but never liked the long expensive process of getting them so because this is my first attempt at faux locs I searched on YouTube and found that these one were said to be the most natural looking crochet locs. And they surely are. I installed mine using the individual crochet method to make it look extra extra natural. Now ladies I’ll warn you the YouTube videos make it look way easier than it actually is. The first row at the back of my head looks a mess but eventually it started coming together once I got the hang of it so PATIENCE is the key ! These definitely are the most natural looking locs like it’s scary but I also must warn you that my hair is natural so it did puff up a lot and I ended up with larger “locs” at the roots. My hair is a reddish brown color, I purchased 1B and had a really hard time hiding my hair at first until I got the hang of it. I purchased the 6 pack and only used 3 so I’m sure that my second attempt will be much better than my first attempt. Bottom line is these are a great protective hairstyle and I really love them . I'm in love with these dreads!! The quality is amazing!! No tangles and never look dull. I'm asked all the time if they are my real locs and what I do to make them look so amazing. I kept them in for about 8 weeks and only took them out to give my edges a break and deep condition my hair. I used the no cornrow method which gives a more natural/realistic look and let's you do so many styles. The first 3 pictures are just before I took them out and the last 2 pictures were taken a few days after I put them in. I plan to buy again and to but extra because I love this hair that much😍 ... show more

I have been wearing this brand for over a year and I am still a fan. Its lightweight, natural looking, durable (I've gotten it wet, even gone swimming in the Pacific Ocean), and well made. Faux locs have become my go-to protective braided style. They have a good range of colors: I've used 4, 1B30, 99J (which is a sort of reddish color), and gold (27 or 30, I can't remember which) interspersed as highlights. I consistently get compliments. The texture of the hair is not fake looking, but has a sheen and looks like freshly done, moisturized locs. It does fuzz just a bit over time, which makes it look more natural and matches my roots as my hair/edges grow out. This time, I did the install myself and I'm still satisfied. 3.5 ✴ If you're a crochet braid queen/goddess like myself (my hair usually looks real people will like how thick n curly my hair is) you will find the hair disappointing to install especially when doing the individual wrapping or pull through technique. it doesn't have a "hollow" middle to easily pull it through. and to wrap it around your hair is not that great either. some locs will unravel easily while others u luck up with pulling through. So the process took me about 3hrs to install n wrap after 90mins* of plaitting* my hair. it looks real-ish especially after you rough it up a bit. this is good for cornrow installation. so that's why I'm hella disappointed. used 3out of 3 pks came on schedule ... show more

I bought these for individual crochet locs. Got lots of compliments. Hair does get tangled ( I simply sprayed a bit of hair oil on and rubbed my hands through the hair) NOT UNRULY, but I think it adds to the look.You can easily wear for a few weeks. I took mine out after a little less than 2 weeks, as I was on the fence about reattaching my real locs that I’d cut a few years before (which I’ve since done) . Once I took out the nu locs, I washed, air dried, and stored them since I only had them in for a very short time. My mom decided to have me do the individual crochet on her for an easy summertime style and she loves them. She actually now wants to loc her own hair because of them. I do feel like the loop is non existent on many locs if not all of the locs ad the hair is tightly coiled and I found myself having to make my own loop. But these locs look really nice so I don’t mind, but it does add time to your install. ... show more

I purchased these after seeing a Youtuber installing these as individuals. I wasted half a pack trying to copy her video. So I braided my hair into corn rolls and installed them as directed on the package and I am in love!!! I agree 100% with other reviewers when they say the longer you wear these the more natural they look. I've received complaints from people with real dreads, they had no idea these are faux! This is the best protective style if you literally want to wake up and go! I've had mine in for a month and I've noticed a few becoming stuck together. To easily fix this issue, I take a mid hold moose and twist each dread and that's it! I dont wrap my hair and I am a wild sleeper and I haven't had any tangles after using mouse.
