    • Normally Closed Switch
Don't make the same mistake I made. I thought it was a ignition kill switch. A ignition kill switch is a normally open switch. This is normally closed and provides ground to the magneto to kill the spark on the plugs. When the safety pin is inserted, it breaks the circuit (Taking the ground away from the magneto). When the pin is removed, it puts ground on the magneto and grounds out taking away the spark. Ignition Kill switches work the other way around. ... show more

    • Product fit perfectly works great.
This product fit perfectly. The kill switch is not hard to install but you do have to use needle nose pliers to help guide wiring though rubber grommet, not difficult at all. 10 mm socket for bolts holding wiring harness job, 22 mm for plastic nut holding switch in place.

    • Missing nut
The switch was a direct fit for my 98 Yamaha 25hp four stroke outboard. I would have given five stars but it was missing the nut that holds the switch in place. I had to dig through the garbage to find the old one, thankfully it fit. Otherwise it works perfectly.
