The angle of the side and the bottom rake angle fit my Lowe Roughneck perfectly, with just the right rise to the rear (1/2"). They are well-made and strong enough to stand on (I attached my swim platform/ladder to the left-hand pod), and they solved the problem I was having with my stern riding too low and the boat not wanting to plane. I really wish I hadn’t made this purchase. The juice wasn’t worth the squeeze. I really haven’t notice where my boat is more buoyant, and top end has bee reduced by the amount of drag. I used the medium size beaver tails on a 18 ft Lowe roughneck 1860, 90 hp Suzuki out board. I really feel Like I should have went with the large rather than the medium. The first picture is without float pods, and you can see I needed them. Added a new motor to the boat, which was 50lbs heavier then the other one. The pods lifted the boat transom right up. I jet up river and float/row down to fish, the transom was too low in the water while floating. I paid to have them welded on, but honestly, I think I would JB Weld them on if I was going to do it again. There's a gentleman on YouTube that did, seemed to work fine.
