I was replacing a lace mantilla for traditional Catholic Latin Mass. These ones were light weight but stayed on very will without pins. Just enough weight on the bottom from lace trim! The texture from the painted decoration keeps them from slipping too, so I don't need hair pins. One of them came apart between ceil and lace trim, but iI put a few tiny stitches in and its fine.
