My usage: I work remotely and am in calls and virtual meetings most of the work day - 5 days a week. Having a comfortable and reliable headset & microphone is very important and this PrancyBT KH122M is one of the best that I've used over the past 3 years. Previously I've used the MPow M5 headset and the PrancyBT M99 bluetooth headset. While both of those were adequate, did the job, and were worth the cost, this KH122M is better than the others and worth the couple extra $ dollars for the following reasons... Design Features: 1. Dual connectivity - 2.4 ghz wireless via USB dongle or Bluetooth v5.2 2. Comfortable padded on-ear headphone cushion and padded t-bar on the other side of the headband 3. Sturdy and stable charging dock/stand with LED charging indicator and USB-C cable for charging 4. Lighter weight (3.6 oz. or 101 g.) than the PrancyBT M99 (3.8 oz. or 107 g.) Feels more balanced weight distribution side-to-side 5. Headband is wider and more rugged. Side-to-side "clamp" is not too tight for my head size. 6. Ear piece and microphone swivel to provide a more comfortable fit 7. Dedicated On/Off toggle switch (not a push button) 8 Simplified button controls for volume level and multi-function operations during use Performance: 1. Via 2.4 ghz USB Dongle - Dead simple connectivity via the USB dongle. Windows 10 recognized the USB dongle connection and setup the new device for use within a few seconds. When turning on the headset with the on/off toggle switch, it takes about 5 seconds for the headset to establish and confirm a connection with the USB dongle. It appears in my sound devices as Speakers (KH122M Dongle). I tested the USB range by walking around my house, room to room, and outside on my porch. Farthest distance about 52 feet through multiple interior walls before the signal started to stutter and cut out. 2. Via v5.2 Bluetooth - Pairing via bluetooth on Windows 10 was also quick and simple. Note: The headset may appear as TWO separate devices in your Windows sound control - Headphones (KH122M Stereo) and Headphones (KH122M Hands-Free AG Audio). If you choose KH122M Stereo, the audio quality of music being played back will be MUCH better sounding. Choosing KH122M Hands-Free AG Audio while listening to music will sound like you are listening through a telephone. Listening to music with device Headphones (KH122M Stereo) is actually quite good (even though it is only mono). Surprisingly decent bass response. I also tested the signal distance while paired to my PC via bluetooth and found the range to actually be BETTER than with the USB dongle. I was able to walk outside to my mailbox at the street with no noticeable drop-outs at a range of around 90 feet from my PC. Quite remarkable. 3. I will be choosing to stay connected to my PC via Bluetooth connection, not just because of greater signal range, but when the USB dongle is plugged in and the headset is turned off, the PC still thinks the headset is "connected" and it doesn't automatically switch back to my default sound device which is USB connected DAC with connected speakers. When connected via Bluetooth and the headset is turned off, that breaks the connection and the PC automatically switches back to my DAC and speakers without me having to switch sound devices. 4. Voice quality through the boom microphone is loud and clear to others on my calls whether I'm connected via Bluetooth or USB dongle. No difference in quality between either. I work in a mostly quiet environment, so I can't comment on noise rejection/cancellation through the microphone. Final thoughts: This is decidedly solid headset that I will continue to enjoy using daily and a confident recommendation at its current price point ($59) at time of this review. ... show more

This is going to be long because I think this is a great single-ear headset for PC or video conferencing activities. I purchased this because I have the PrancyBT Trucker's headset and it has really worked well over the past 6 months. What attracted to this is the base - it seems much better than plugging in a cord to recharge if you are using it at your desk. With a base I can just drop it on when I go home and its ready for another day of work when I get back. No jack to worry about breaking so I think it will last longer. First impressions - very nice build quality, good looking asthetically. The base is properly weighted and the headset sits securely on it for charging. Has a holder for the USB dongle, though I have it plugged into my docking station and it will stay there most likely. There is still a USB-C connection for when you are mobile and don't want to take the base with you. The cushion on the headband end (opposite speaker) is a nice upgrade, and the speaker side is nicely padded - very comfortable. Manual appears comprehensive and the device has a lot of features that are useful for call management. Tested connecting to my PC with the dongle - its already "paired" so further work was done. Put in dongle, turn on headset, done. I then tested Bluetooth connectivity with both my Android phone (Note 20) and it worked fine. Ditto for Bluetooth on the PC. I particularly like the dongle though, as I have always had issues with my PC and BT devices periodically disconnecting - I have a wired keyboard & mouse in my docking station for that reason. I feel the dongle will provide more reliable connections - not to mention it allows better integration with the PC. Distance capability seemed fine too - I was able to walk to the printer in the next room without an issue, which is about as far as I would normally go (didn't try to go further but suspect it would). The headset will only pair with one device at a time, which could be a plus or minus depending on your use case. In my case its good as I wanted a dedicated headset for my video conferencing. With my other headset, having it paired to both my PC and my cell proved problematic as it interrupts the audio of my video call if the phone rings. This makes it more difficult to quietly decline the call. With that other headset I found myself disabling bluetooth on my cell to avoid this issue. Not very convenient. But if you need to switch devices (i.e. taking it with you out of the office), simply power it up and if the currently paired device is not available it immediately goes into pairing mode, making it trivial to connect to something different. Battery life seems to be amazing. It was down only 10% after my day of 5 hours of continuing education webinars. Of course with the base right on my desk it will always be full charged and ready for use. Overall I would say this is an excellent choice for video conferencing or other PC-based applications (VoIP softphone, etc) in an office environment. It has the added benefit of being able to also easily pair up on the road via BT with your cell or other device. ... show more
