  • Works wonderfully with bluetooth headphones
I got this so that my sons could listen to their "playaway" audiobook devices that we get from the library. There is an audio jack for corded headphones/earbuds, but they prefer (as do I) their bluetooth headphones. So I simply charged this up, switched it to TX mode, turned it on and it paired easily with their headsets and broadcasted the audiobooks to them. This is a game changer for them as they can use their over the ear hook style headphones and not get sore ears from their corded headphones. I'm tempted to get another one so they both can listen to their own books on road trips and such. I'm super happy with this and am loving it so far. We charge it nightly, and it's hard to tell how long it would last for based on how we use it - but it's absolutely worth it. The ONLY downside is that the male to male audio plug is VERY large and it sticks up and kinda far away from the device. It's a tiny thing that doesn't take away any enjoyment of it, just affects the portability of the audiobooks a bit. I'd still give it 5 starts based on how much we like using it. Two thumbs up! ... show more

  • Compact For Air Travel
This Bluetooth receiver/transmitter can be used to both send music from your phone to your car speakers (i.e., set at receiving RX mode) or in my case to be used for transmitting audio to my headphones when I'm in flight (i.e., set at TX mode). My current one had too much lag in the bluetooth transmission. Also it just wasn't that compact when I attached it to the audio out in the airplane. So, for the price, this D58 transmitter fits what I need. The size is good and the battery is supposed to last up to 16 hours before recharging. I tested the sound transmission to my Bose headphones at home - and it sounded excellent. I will update if I find any issues in my upcoming flight. ... show more

  • Now I can use my over-ear wired headphones with my AppleTV
I have a great pair of Bose over ear headphones, but I bought them just before Bluetooth headphones became a thing. Since they're also noise-cancelling, they're my go-to headset while flying on an airplane. At home, though, most of the TV I watch is via my AppleTV, and when my wife falls asleep, I need to use Bluetooth earbuds (AirPods) to listen. They're good, but just don't have anywhere near the bass response that the Bose headphones do. Now I have a solution! I set this Bluetooth audio adapter to Receive mode, paired it with my AppleTV, and then plugged my wired headpones into the adapter. Sound quality is good, better than my AirPods, but not as good as wired. The bass response isn't as strong, and I have to crank the volume up all the way to get decent sound levels (with my AirPods, I have to lower the volume a couple of steps). It worked! When I turn on the adapter, I hear a voice letting me know the status (on, connected, or off). There's also volume up/down buttons on the adapter, but I'm having trouble getting them to work reliably. When I hold the volume up button, if it works, I'll also get a "max volume" message. But more often than not, holding it down turns off the adapter... maybe it's causing the adjacent power on/off button to think IT'S being pushed instead and shutting itself off. This is the reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars. I have not yet used the Transmit mode (where I could send Bluetooth audio to another device). It comes with a male-to-male mini plug so you can easily plug it into a TV or tuner/amplifier. My AppleTV is the 4th generation HD model, which only has Bluetooth 4.0. This audio adapter is Bluetooth 5.3. It works, but it's possible my AppleTV is the gating factor for not having higher quality sound. Someday I'll upgrade and see. Anyway, for the price, if you have a need for either sending or receiving an audio signal from a device, I'd recommend giving this adapter a try. ... show more

  • Great update for older tech radio in my boat
I recently purchased a boat second hand, that came with an older tech radio/receiver, without bluetooth. Instead there was an Aux mini plug jack installed in the dash. Since most newer phones no longer have headphone jacks installed, but are bluetooth ready, this little device is the perfect accessory to fit this scenario. After giving it a full charge and pairing it to my phone, I had the stereo playing curated tunes from my phone in less than a minute. This was a way better option than the expense and labor time needed to update the entire radio, and it works perfectly. ... show more

  • Very Cheaply made
Everything about this feels cheaply made. I would not expect the buttons or ports to last very long considering how flimsy they feel. It connected to my phone easily by pressing the button and seems to work okay, with much better sound than the fm transmitter ones. It has three buttons which are supposed to be back, forward, and play/pause, but the back goes forward and both the + and play buttons play and pause my music. You can tell immediately that it isn't a quality product. I was super excited that it had buttons to flip through music, so this is disappointing. I can get cheap devices all day long for a fraction of the listed price and expected more quality ... show more

  • You can transmit audio to a Bluetooth speaker with this.
I have an old TV with poor quality sound. I also have large, under-utilized, Bluetooth speaker with good quality sound. With this product, I can connect the two. That solves two issues for me - TV sound quality and under-utilization of the expensive speaker. 5 stars for a great product idea. The converter is small, not much larger than a AA battery (which it probably contains). The internal battery is recharged by USB-C. The instructions are simple. There is a delay of several seconds while it automatically connects to the Bluetooth device. All you have to do is press a button to connect. ... show more

  • Good sound quality no dropputs
This Bluetooth Audio Adapter has been a great solution for adding Bluetooth connectivity to my home theater and other devices. It's easy to set up and pairs quickly with my iPhone . I use it primarily with the AUX jack in my car and home theater. the sound quality is impressive with no noticeable lag or dropouts. It also works well with my TV and other speakers, making it versatile for different uses. The compact design is a plus, and the ability to switch between transmitter and receiver modes adds extra flexibility. Overall, it's a handy device for wireless audio streaming! ... show more
