  • Small is Beautiful
Model: DA1002C
More reviews on practically identical PROZOR. Pros (for me) Small size for a shallow shelving. Right priced, usd$59. Simple yet with a good complement of inputs. Cool Running. Full function remote. BT pairing doesn’t produce any annoying sound nor does it send an AUTO PLAY. Standard SMA WIFI connector allows using better looking remote antenna. Cons (for me): Pin holes making LED indicators visible only dead center. Same small hole causing the need to aim the remote directly to it to function. IR responses twice if one holds the buttons too long. Better IR systems know to ignore - -repeat sends. Not keen about the red knobs, am planning to replace them with some nice gold knobs. No volume change indicator. I would have preferred a built-in power supply like my old Teac Ai101DA. Big spark as power plug connects. Power/on-off by pulling the AC cord instead. No Subwoofer out but that shouldn’t deter any sub with High Level Inputs. No headphones jack. Sonic Performance: Am using this to drive a pair of 3” woofers in the near-field bedroom at night so not pushing hard at all, I did not test this with large speakers. Don’t take the 100w x 2 literally, is a very small amp, it can’t do magic. Long Term durability and performance: Unknown, I have only owned this for 6 weeks. Other: Surprisingly a full function (for the $) USB port, but I don’t use it so sorry no in depth review here. It remembers the last input for me in contrast to some other reviews. Can play at low volume soft levels in contrast to some other reviews. Tone controls seem to work normally in contrast to some other reviews. • Good feature set
Model: DA1002C
First of all, I thought this item was a little pricy considering there was no mention of a power supply on the entire page. I assumed that you didn’t get one, especially when they go to lengths telling you what voltages it will work with. When the amp arrived, however, there was a decent 4.0 amp 24v supply in the box. From the power supply you have 96 total watts to work with. Certainly not 100 watts per channel but plenty for most home listening. The remote that is included is a little wonky in that you’ll have to be on axis with the unit to get it to transmit because the receiver is recessed into the faceplate. I read where someone inserted a small acrylic dowel into the hole and that allowed more freedom with the remote. That should work. Second thing with the remote is that it appears to use some of the same signals as other remotes. I was navigating through my TVs menus and managed to shut this amp off with my TV remote. This may or may not become an issue depending on what TV you have. My thoughts for this was for sound in my guest room driving a pair of diy Overnight Sensation speakers. The various inputs would allow it to work for the TV, Bluetooth and DVD player. All inputs can be chosen by dedicated buttons on the remote which is nice. Once I got to know it a little I thought this is a pretty complete package so I brought it down to my living room, hooked it up in place of my Onkyo AVR and lived with it for a week as my primary amplifier. A little about my system; I’m a bit of an enthusiast but wouldn’t say audiophile. I’m using a completely fanless PC as a transport serving FLAC encoded files to a Topping D50 DAC and sending the music to a pair of hand built Anthology speakers designed by Curt Campbell and Jim Holtz. The speakers are not considered an easy load being only 87db sensitive and a 4 ohm load but are extremely accurate and this little guy would drive them to annoyingly loud levels before any distortion started to creep in which it does on any class D amp, especially when nearing the limit of the power supply. My first impression of this amp when hooked up was that it was a little bright sounding, however I played white noise while mapping it real time through a calibrated microphone and the graph came out very flat so there is nothing inherently wrong with the amp. I think maybe a stronger power supply may help what I perceive as the bass being a little “thin”. I can simply turn up the bass a little and get it to sound to my liking but there still seems to be a little lack of impact. Again, it is likely a better supply would fix that. Playing Spotify from the tv over optical reveals that this unit has at least a decent DAC although not stellar. Bluetooth was very nice with me being able to roam the entire house without dropping or loss of quality. USB is typical in that there is no way to navigate the files on the stick. At least I haven’t figured it out if there is, so good for a “mix tape” type of thing. What I like: Good clear sound Variety of inputs Remote Bluetooth distance (and no annoying voice prompts) What I dislike; Remote having to be aimed Power supply could be better Volume knob has no index so volume level is unknown on startup Volume knob is also on/off switch and thus is a bit wobbly Binding posts are awkwardly close together and a little loose on a banana plug. ... show more

Wish you could control more volume, it seems the dial turns more freely to up but it doesn’t equalize to the volume of more sound . Overall it did work.
Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2024 by Can say they perform well, music was well balanced, nice bass for the price , overall good quality . The family enjoyed the music that surrounded them.

  • One complaint !
Model: DA1002C
Ok this is the first review by an actual buyer, not a Vine customer. First brush, very cool mini amp. The red knobs grabbed my attention and I figured why not for $65 for a bedroom system. Paired with some NHT speakers and an Monoprice sub and for under $200 a great little system. The mid-range adjustment actually works and adds to the contouring of the sound. Not sure about longevity, but I'll update if necessary. ... show more
