  • Exceeded ALL Expectatioins
Style: Microphone Color: Shadow Grey
I've used three different mics over the last two years while hosting indie music video shows on Youtube, and was only moderately satisfied with the performance of all of them. In addition, I wanted to remove the barrier of having the mic right in front of my face. After a careful search, I decided to go with the Blue Yeti Nano. Initially, I was very impressed with the weight of the mic, and the look is sleek and professional. As an experiment, I set it on a table approximately 4-5 feet away from where I plan to sit for the new show and recorded a few minutes to see how it worked. It was amazing! The mic not only picked up my voice, but when my co-host spoke from almost 10 feet away, the recording came through very clear and strong. In fact, for the second recording we had to turn the mic down because I was too loud! Overall, I am very pleased with this microphone. No longer will I fuss with a boom stand and have a mic blocking my face, and the sound is so clear (even before any effects are added). Couldn't ask for better performance, and it definitely exceeded every expectation. Five stars! ... show more

  • Great option for someone torn between low-end and mid-end quality microphones.
Style: Microphone Color: Shadow Grey
Fantastic microphone for recording and podcasting. I've used a borrowed Yeti for a couple years and it was amazing. When I had to give it back, I looked for an alternative, and this model had just come out. My relatively amateur ear can hear that this is a quality mic with quality sound, and I honestly can't really tell the difference between my recordings with the Yeti and the Yeti Nano. I got a cheap boom mic and am so happy with the results. If you're someone that is looking to up the quality of your sound, but wondering if you need to go 'full Yeti' for the few extra features (extra condenser, a few other sound modes) you probably don't need anything more than this. Plus the form factor is HUGE. It's a lot less obtrusive, and stores much easier. For me there is no appreciable quality difference and a huge gain in practicality for ~30% less than the Yeti. ... show more

  • its good if you don't need a high end audio setup or if you dont have much funds to start out with
Style: Microphone Color: Shadow Grey
this is by far a better product than the over-popular Yeti. The Nano has the same audio quality in a smaller form factor and is cheaper. Although I no longer use it as I moved to a rode podmic, I have no negative feelings for the Yeti Nano, it is just a genuinely good microphone for the price point. putting on some simple filters such as a noise gate, EQ, and compressor and the microphone will do far enough for day-to-day usage. genuinely, consider this over getting an XLR setup or even the new USB podmic or USB shure. price and brand do not dictate quality of product. ... show more

  • You MUST implement audio filters and noise gates to this Microphone!
Style: Microphone Color: Shadow Grey
I'm using this Blue Yeti Nano on my Macbook Pro for calls on Zoom, Discord, and Microsoft Teams. Note: If you put in zero effort into customization after opening the box, you will get mediocre audio quality! You MUST implement audio filters and noise gates, which means extra work. Zoom, Discord, and Teams all have built-in basic audio adjustments, and for most people this is good enough. Activate the noise suppression, noise gate, and lower the gain so you don't blow out people's eardrums. On my local Mac, I learned how to use OBS (open broadcaster software) to filter my audio BEFORE sending it out to Zoom/Discord/Teams. I'm essentially routing my audio through OBS filters first. This gives me the best audio for zero extra cost. I followed online guides on how to set this up. The power cable is hella annoying because there's a ferrite core (black cylinder) which is too close to the end of the micro-USB side. It blocks the mic from being able to fully swivel, so your mic is basically FORCED into 1 position. Yes, the mic is stuck even if you route the cable through the small pass-thru hole. The engineer who assembled the parts list probably sourced a generic cable and forgot to measure the ferrite core clearance distance. ... show more

  • Don't spend any more for a mic, this is more than good enough
Style: Microphone Color: Shadow Grey
The best sounding mic I've ever used. Don't be foolish by spending hundreds of dollars for a XLR mic, you won't notice any significant difference. It's also compact and made of metal housing, very sturdy and top notch quality. I used to not believe in USB mic, but they are perfectly fine, if you want to go the XLR route, you'd have to spend twice the money easily just to get the same sound quality because you need a good audio interface to go with the very good analog mic. The setup is just so easy with USB mic, unless you are a professional audio person, I really don't see a reason not to go with USB mic. ... show more

  • Blue Yeti Mic
Style: Microphone Color: Shadow Grey
I really love the Blue Yeti mic you can definitely tell the difference in clarity when using this mic compared to using computer speakers mic. It is not the best if you are singer. If you are hitting a high note you may have to adjust your position towards the mic, turnaround, in order for the mike to pick up the frequencies of the higher notes. Great mic. ... show more

  • I was unsure
Style: Microphone Color: Shadow Grey
I was looking to give myself something for Christmas - and I landed on this. I spend a lot of work time on MS Teams calls, and some leisure time on Skype calls. I had "upgraded" my camera and microphone to an integrated hi-def Logitech camera about 5 years ago (it sits on top of my monitor). The camera is great, and I remember folks telling me the sound quality was much better than the admittedly crappy camera and microphone I had prior to that. I was unsure if this would provide a noticeable improvement in sound quality, but it was on sale so I took a shot. I installed it, and did some recordings, switching between this and the old integrated microphone. I thought I could identify a minor improvement with the Yeti mic, but my hearing isn't great and I wasn't sure. So I asked several people, in different calls, if they could tell the difference. The uniform answer was "YES!". I also got a (on the old one) "you sound like you're in a box", and (on the new one) "you sound like you're in the room with me", and another person said "you sound good enough to do a podcast". So, I have to say I am happy with this purchase. I also really like the way it looks -- somehow it just looks the way I've always thought a professional microphone should look. ... show more
