Very disappointed in this product. The white bleach tab, turns brown in the water and somehow messes up the blue tablet. They are supposed to be put side by side, but all the bleach tablet does is bubble up the blue tablet into a big glob that does not dissolve. So now I only use the blue tab and through out the bleach one. What a waste of money. Usually ordered the Vanish tabs but Amazon no longer carries them. Wish I would have seen the return date. I bought in May and return date was by June 28. So I'm out of the money and stuck with a lousy product. ... show more

As the others here, I was wondering about the yellow~ish, red~ish, purple~ish color of the water when the blue stops - This will correct itself - I LOVE the way it keeps my commode clean & odorless & the light scent of bleach is just enough to tell you it's there - I bought some other large tablets ... (16 Pieces Antibacterial Blue Toilet Bowl Cleaner Tablets, Drop in Tank Sold by: HHDeal) ... and the tablet would dissolve within a week - I would buy these again until something better comes along - thanks for reading, thunderhorse_49 >^..^< ... show more

    • They've changed somehow. We had alternating blue, burgundy and dark gray colors. Yuck.

Well, I used to buy these often. I haven't in a long time, for whatever reason. Then they popped up on suggested items, and I tossed one in the cart. Now, the place we have now is our first water saving flush, the kind with one button in the middle of the lid that you push to flush. Not sure if that has an effect on what we experienced, so including that info bite. Anyway, we had nice blue water for a few days. Then the water started changing color on us. We started having a mix of light burgundy (really gross looking, as we ladies are familiar with seeing), and a dirty gray color. No more blue. I have no idea if the low flush potty is responsible somehow for this color showcase, or if the product has changed. I do know I don't want a repeat, so will not be repurchasing this item. I placed the discs ( a bleach disc and a blue disc) as directed into the back of the toilet. They worked for about 2 days then the blue went away and the water turned a light cranberry color (???) which looked as if I needed to see a doctor. My guess is either the discs are OLD or these discs DO NOT work in the newer water saving toilets of today. I did not try it in a regular older model toilet. Not worth the money. Buy one of the "over the rim" cleaners instead. ... show more

So far, we've used this for about a week. We really enjoy the "blue" coloring and the toilet does seem to stay "fresh", but we were worried about some of the reviews that were talking about it turning the water brown/red. As we were putting the tablets in we noticed that the inside of the tank was brown as well (old rental home). Embarrassingly, it was brown when we were showing the new rental. So we're not sure if it's just cleaning the inside of the tank as well or if it turns brown after a certain amount of time since it wasn't being frequently used. If you flush again, the water for us turned blue again. I'll probably update again once there's more usage being done, but all in all I think for something that's supposed to be toss and forget about it's pretty good for the price you pay and the time you save. ... show more

Defective! It was blue for 10 flushes then turned clear. I even tried crushing it in the water; made a mess. It is day 3 see the pictures. I bought 2 and can’t return.

The combination of the two tablets (which are supposed to be used together) makes this product completely useless. Using them independently is also problematic. Using the blue tablet alone, will stain your toilet (the blue is too strong). Using the bleach tablet alone will cause the water to have a strong smell of bleach that will fill up your house. Using both tablets at the same time will cause the blue tablet to crumble and not dissolve. The small blue you get eventually changes color to a brownish yellow … making it look like someone forgot to flush the toilet after urinating. Wish I knew this before I setup the tables in two toilets. NO. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. ... show more

I didn't get any funny colors and these things last me about 6 months. I supplement them with some 99 cent (for two) tank cakes I get at WM and drop one of those in about every 2 - 3 weeks. All I've really needed to do since I started using this stuff (and the little "booster" I get from WM) is brush the toilet now and then. I don't understand what all the fuss over pink toilet water is about, it might have been a bad batch but it seems to be fixed now if it was. I don't get the lime/scale buildup from the water I was getting. Before I started using this 2000 Flushes stuff I had to get in there and apply some elbow grease with a pumice stone about once a month or so. Now the pumice stone(s) just sit in the cabinet, I haven't needed them. My toilet is nice and clean, sparkling white with a blue tinted water and it doesn't look like something is growing on the waterline anymore. Seriously, 6 months and nothing more than a quick brushing now and then. That's pretty low maintenance toilet care in my opinion. For someone who gets no kick from scrubbing toilets, this is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. ... show more
