  • blue magic foam carpet stain remover
First, let me say that I DID NOT receive this product for free or discounted, nor was I solicited in ANY way to review this product. You can see my purchase is VERIFIED. Further, my purchase was 100% INDEPENDENT and so are my opinions. That out of the way, I would say that this is one of those rare products I wish I could give a higher rating than 5 stars for! I have included a few pictures.... wish I would have taken even more before and afters because it worked that well. My carpet is very high end "sculpted berber" in case that helps you compare what you have. It is a sort of darker tan with flecks of turquoise color - about 10 years old. (yes, it's ready for replacement) I have pretty much tried about every carpet cleaner out there trying to remove old stains. I suspect the biggest issues I had were old "puppy potty training" stains, but who can know for sure this long ago... Anyway... please see my pictures to see what I did. I purchased the pump spray and the aerosol "foam" spray Blue Magic... Pump version vs foam.... For a second you can see the exactly where the foam sprayed... maybe there is an advantage in knowing were the bulk of the product sprayed for a brief second... however, I didn't see any real difference in stain lifting ability. Also, I did purchase a soft, hand held scrub brush to do a light scrub before blotting the product off. Once I saw how quickly and efficiently it remove those gray, plate size spots (about 6 were in the area shown in "after" shot - wish I would have taken a before shot of the whole area), I got braver and tried on a really dark brown drip spot (who knows what it was - I suspect my husband) - I had to do a couple of treatments and use the scrub brush, but it lifted even that stain! Oh... also on the brush, I had purchased the Resolve system (foam cleaner with attached to a long handled scrub brush - so you can stand while scrubbing) and I have taken to using that and then patting with a paper towel and my feet... It's hard for me to get down on my hands and knees. This has worked so well my neighbor borrowed to try on a stain she's had for years. She reports with a couple of treatments it lifted the old mystery stain right up. It does have a slight odor... but not a bad one... clean smelling in my opinion. But I would not report that it has a freshening ability. I was worried it smell chemically and am I happy to report that it does not. It says "removes stains in one step - no vacuuming required." It's actually a couple of steps in my estimation... Apply the product... scrub...(or not - your choice)...wait 30 seconds (15 seconds on a fresh stain).... and then blot, firmly, several times. You can decide if that is "one" or more steps. It also warns that you should test your carpet before using.... I did not.... only because we are going to replace it and it was my thought it can't be worse than it already is... But I do recommend following their directions. As with all chemicals it says to keep out of reach of children. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seems useful. Further, I did NOT receive compensation of ANY kind for my review. I was NOT solicited by the seller or product maker to review this product. My purchase is VERIFIED, full price and 100% independent. As are my reviews. My reviews are completely my opinion, which may differ from yours. I respect that. I do my best to offer real, honest reviews to help other buyers. Happy shopping to all! ... show more

  • If You Have Kids or Pets and Carpet, This is a Must Have
If you have kids or pets with carpet in your home, this stain remover should be a staple in your home! This cleaner was amazing. All of the stains I needed cleaned had been there for at least 2-3 weeks, some more. I had the huge coffee stain shown in the photo, several vomit stains from my cats and markers all over the carpet of my daugther's room. All you do is shake the can, spray the stain, let it soak for 30 seconds and then blot it with a towel. This method is probably best for fresh stains. If it's an older stain, you can let it soak a little longer and use a toothbrush to scrub a little if it needs some extra work. Still I was amazed at how easy, quick and simple it was. The included photo is of the coffee stain. Before, with the spray on and after. This was allowing the cleaner to soak for a minute or two on the first round. Of the coffee stains, markers and cat vomit, the cat vomit was the hardest to get out. But I know if I had this on hand when they happened, they would have been gone in seconds. And if you're wondering about smell, it's not any kind of fresh scent. It smells like Windex to me, but it doesn't linger very long. ... show more

  • It just looked super bad. I tried Blue Magic on a whim
This stuff actually is gypsy magic or something. Before I sold my 2008 car, I was left with deeeeep, ancient Pepsi stains in the cloth thanks to having Neanderthal friends who spilled more than once and would never tell me about it. It just looked super bad. I tried Blue Magic on a whim. I applied it and scrubbed 3 times and the seats looked brand new. I don't even know how that's possible. It straight up assassinated 10 years of stains in 3 punches. Amaizing. ... show more

  • Good on carpets, bad for plastic
Used this on my SUV carpet to remove a nasty, unidentifiable glob that was embedded in the carpet directly behind my son's seat, which I don't think was a coincidence, but he's not fessing up to anything... ;) It took several (7-8) applications to get it all removed, but it did do so nicely. The downside is that this foaming spray causes discoloration on the plastic surfaces that it comes in contact with. I tried to cover the plastic with paper towels while I was using it, but it soaked through the paper and discolored the plastic parts I was trying to protect. That's the reason for losing one star - I expected it to be more car friendly since it was recommended by some auto detailing sites. ... show more

  • Works like Magic!
I have two young kids and a light-colored interior in my car and boy oh boy was my car looking like a mess. I have tried other foaming carpet/upholstery cleaners and none have done even half the job this product has. My kids have split numerous red Gatorade's on the floor in the back seat which wouldn't come out before. With a little Blue Magic, a scrub brush, and a lot of back arms, I got not only the red stain out of the carpet, but ALL of the stains out of the carpet as well as the seats, including TWO melted crayons on the driver's seat that I had tried many times to remove. For a tiny gal, I am not dainty or gentle when it comes to cleaning, so maybe my scrubbing had more to do with removing the stain, but I'll remain convinced that it was the Blue Magic. I didn't read and still haven't bothered to look at what chemicals this product contains but I notice a very pungent ammonia smell when I spray it. I just recommended this to my co-worker who told me she was worried about how to get rid of the smell of her green juice after dropping it all over her car this morning. ... show more
